2 years ago Borriello was like our 4th choice striker and we won the Scudetto. People were killing Marotta for that without hesitation even though Borriello barely affected us.

Now Roma made the CL and he's their 2nd choice #9 after Destro. :howler:

It's easy to take your time and find nice players here and there when you have nothing to compete for. They can buy lots of young players and test them out in Serie A. They're not expected to win the league or even get to CL really.

Sabatini is a good manager, of course, but now we'll see what he's made of when they have to play CL and Serie A at the same time and expectations are higher. Maybe their obvious weaknesses which everyone here ignores will manifest themselves under heightened pressure.

Weaknesses being no keeper, no striker and 33 year old fullbacks.

I mean, 4 of their 5 new additions who are expected to help the team the most this year are Cole (33), Keita (34), Astori (27), Emanuelson (28). All of a sudden when Sabatini has to build an actual bench (which Marotta has to do every year), you start to see some underwhelming signings.
For any of this to even be relevant somebody has to have said that Marotta has been bad. He hasn't, he has done a great job. I'm just personally very impressed about how Sabatini has managed to find so many top quality players.

We are linked with Astori, panick everywhere. Roma gets him, everything is cool.

They sell their young talents every season, praise them. Now imagine if we sell Pogba, people would demand Marotta's head.
Difference is of course, Roma are in need of a center back, we're not which of course means that people would hate that move. Our need is offensive creativity, something we're still neglecting and that is why people panic.

So now we're calling good, valuable players 'fashionable'? Doesn't every club want fashionable players, especially when they seem to have the eyes of all the top clubs after them? Give me the fashionable players Sabatini manages to find instead of the non fashionable failures that we so often seem to attract.

What is so wrong with looking at the results, seeing all the great prospects he has managed to bring and say, 'hey, that man did great'?
The style of players they sign.

Nothing wrong with praising someone, whatever takes your fancy.

psg suggested 60m for buy him!!
juve havent anyway without sell ogbonna or vital for keep pogba indeed Juventus should consider selling ogbonna rather than vidal
Pavel Nedved :Our strategy is clear; we want to keep all our best players, including Vidal and Pogba.(according to Tuttosport)
so i think juve for keep him should buy ogbona with 9.5m to arsenal
