Not sure if this is true :

Pogba, 20, has told friends that if Juve did decide to cash in on him he would prefer to return to France and join PSG instead of going back to United

So he is happy however would prefer amove back to France if he had to leave. Good if its true

I don't think leaving Juve would be a wise choice for Pogba right now. The progress he has made over the last 18 months was aided to a great extent by the team he's playing in. The current squad works very well as a team and sacrifices for the good of it without relying on individual talent too much.

He's only been a starting player for 6 months and at 20 still needs to mature. Uprooting himself now and facing the burden of huge expectations, which a big money move to an aspiring big name team would surely entail, could prove to be counter productive to his development. At the very least it's risky, no matter how talented he is.

However, our desire to cash in on him now might be bigger than his desire to leave.

An unhappy player isn't exactly what you want in the team..he wont perform to his best, he'll cause more grief in the change rooms. The club has made it clear they want to keep him and need to put up the cash, OR, Pogba needs to state what his intentions are. If he wants to stay then come out publicly and say it and ask management to make it happen.

If we sell Pogba, we shall use the money to buy amazing talents like Cerci, Diamanti, and the evergreen Gilardino. Personally, I am all for it. Sell one young player with potential (nowhere near the finished article yet) to acquire 3 established Serie A veterans  What's there not to like about a deal of this magnitude?
:donedeal: gilardino is all i require

No. He signed a contract, so he stays put whether he likes it or not. We should not give in for that $#@!.
Then he will continue serving his contract, perhaps even perform really great along the way, and then leave, and we remain without a penny. No, in that case it would defenitely be smarter to sell him.

If we are indeed planning to adopt/follow the Bayern model, then patience is required. We must also retain all our best players, not sell them and inevitably weaken the squad. Pogba is most definitely one of the untouchables.
