IF i were to believe the media and hypetrains, then Ramos is a legendary defender who has been in the fifa team of the year, for a much more domminant period of time then players like Maldini, Baresi, Nesta etc
Why ? Cause he scores goals. And that determines a good defender apparently.
Ramos is a pretty average defender, and rather bad in a 1v1 situation. But he doesnt get to much of those at real. He was a pretty good fullback, considering the shit standard of today. But as a centreback, he doesnt stand out despite the current generation beeing ridiculously bad.

Bonucci when concentrated is a better defender.
Chiellini used to be ALOT better. Now it tends to depends wether his brain shows up or not. But he does have these clutch defensive plays sometimes, that Ramos will never pull off.
Just sad Giorgio never really build on that form of 2008, when he pretty much single handedly was the only reason Spain didnt absolutely trash the shit out of every team in the tournament, but instead kept a clean sheet for 120 minutes, and actually buying the azzurri time to get the best chances in the game, wich cammoranesi wasted.
That game, best defensive performance in the last 6 years, bar 37 year old Nesta showing Messi he's a piece of shit when playing against someone who used to get shitfaced by Ronaldo. (the good one).
