Our team, specially CBs, need to show more confidence in the youngster by allowing him to start the build up. He keeps running around trying to position himself in a better position for his team mates, but the CBs, Bonucci in particular keeps running by him or passing it out wide, absolutely no interest in getting him involved. Some might argue that Chievo are clogging the middle with alot of players, which makes it harder to do so, but on many occasions Pogba was open, and he didn't get involved.

I noticed that. He's not getting many passes.

cbs ignore him, but he himself should take initative and make himself available. if he can't do it from deep, then he should push up more

Pogba is sticking to his tactical role, providing cover for Asamoah, Marchisio and Giach when they make forward runs. He isn't getting involved in any real attacking play like Pirlo usually does but that doesnt mean he cant do it. I think he is playing it safe by keeping it simple on his first match for us. Like you said, Bonucci bypasses him almost every time I dont think that is a coincidence.

I think he had a very good first half.

Chievo's way of playing is making it difficult for every Juve player out there. Can't really point the finger at anyone so far. Knock on wood.

Hopefully we can nick one past them before the final whistle!!

This being his first start, playing alongside experienced players, he probably does not want to step on other players toes. You won't see him asking for the ball aggressively or etc. He is running around in the space, the players around have a responsibility of taking such initiative, based on the work rate Pogba has been doing in the game so far. Taking such initiatives comes with experience and the trust from players around you I believe.

That's actually how things work even when Pirlo is on the field.
