Redcafe:
Load of shit.

United is a massive step up to Juve these days.

We may not have a great team right this minute, but Jose will build one with our resources.
Depends what stick you use to measure it. We play in the Premier League and have a world wide fan base far larger and wider than theirs.

We've also got one of the top 3 managers in the world and resources to blow most teams out the water.

If you asked most people who has the best chance of Champios League glory in the next 5 years, I'd bet they would back United.
:lol::lol::lol:

That's the problem with PL fans, they think a pile of money means success is just around the corner, it's always the future and what IS going to happen.

Don't you have to play in the Champions League to win it? They have done no better than the QF in the last 5 years. It's not even delusion, just sad.

Yeah it's pretty sad that these United fans don't understand that the only stretch they had the upper hand over us in terms of prestige was from 2006-2013 and that was only because of Calciopoli.

United is not in the position to be bragging. They successfully flushed hundreds of million of dollars out the window the last 2 windows. You have a choice of Juve vs. United, it comes down to a few things:
-Weather: Juve
-Culture: Juve
-Food: Juve
-Style: Juve (Drake wore a Manchester United jersey when he was way less popular, and he did not draw the same attention to it).
-League: England (but not by the margin they think) - in fact our best team (Juve), is better than theirs (city? arsenal)
-Chance of Winning a Title: Juve
-Manager: Juve - why? because Mourinho is a pain to work with. He is a great manager, but Allegri is actually likeable and that's proven by the basketcase Milan teams he coached with the likes of Boateng, Ibra, Cassano, Robinho, Mexes, Ronaldinho
-Chances of Champions League: Juve - other than the superiority of our current squad over their mishmash of highly paid players, Manchester isn't even in the UCL next year.
-Players to play with: Juve - better team, more cohesive locker room, some of the best young talent in the world.

Juventus is the Bayern of Italy, and frankly would anyone say that they'd rather play for United over Bayern next year? Maybe an english player.

The EPL has some good fans, but it also breeds some of the most idiotic fans in the world. I'm sure they'd be certain a West Ham would crush a Sassuolo. The EPL doesn't have the tactics and cohesiveness of Italy though. Sassuolo could beat a midtable EPL team. Heck, I'd bet on a good day Sassuolo could beat some of the United teams of the last 3 years, which quite frankly have sucked. United isn't any better than AC Milan or Shinter right now.

Very nice write up. What do you think about the EPL spending currently? How long can they keep this up? They are paying out ridiculous transfer fees and wages and most of the players aren't coming close to meeting those expectations. Then they have difficulties recouping the costs after they flop because no one outside of England with exception of a handful of clubs can pay the transfer fees and wages. Man City is now looking to offload as many as 8 starters. I know they have a massive TV deal and great marketing but what good is that when the players are flopping for the most part and the top tier players still prefer Spain and Bayern?

For many years now I've not seen Jose do anything "great", he just seems to be stumbling around making enemies of everyone he works with.
