The signing of Paddy was a great one. He immediately shined in the team. And the partnership between him and Vieira is some of the best I've ever seen. I'm happy to have such a star on the team, hopefully Juventus can fullfill the dream of winning the CL this season!

Injured Juve duo worry Capello
Thursday 13 October, 2005
Juventus may be without Patrick Vieira and Zlatan Ibrahimovic this weekend because of injury.

The pair are doubts for the Messina clash after returning from international duty with fitness problems.

Vieira was forced out of the 4-0 win over Cyprus after just 24 minutes of last night’s World Cup qualifier.

The central midfielder was already struggling with a groin problem during Saturday’s 0-0 draw in Switzerland.

"He was in some real pain, he could not go on any longer even if I’m no doctor," said Les Bleus boss Raymond Domenech.

Vieira may now not be risked for Saturday’s clash seeing as Juve have an important Champions League trip to Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Ibrahimovic may also be absent from boss Fabio Capello’s next starting teamsheet.

The giant striker netted in the 3-1 win over Iceland on Wednesday but is thought to have aggravated a knee injury.

The striker picked up the initial problem following Marco Materazzi’s horror challenge during the 2-0 win over Inter in Week 6.

There are also still doubts over David Trezeguet’s fitness after he suffered a slight thigh strain in the same game.

Capello may opt to field Alex Del Piero in attack after his scintillating display against Moldova for Italy.

Yeah, they are still the worst source in the world.
But as I have recently understood their sources are other magazines, other sites and in forums…

    Dammit... :(

It's okay.. we could do it last year without him, and we can do it again this year..

I really wanted him to be in Germany against Bayern....We are really complete with him, However I'd like to see 4-1-3-2.....If Patrick is def out.

Anyone sees us developing a dependence on Paddy? He's been so influential so far this season I'm worried in the long run we'll be the worse for it.

dude look at juve's squad. how is it possible to build a dependence on anyone. We have emerson, blasi, nedved, giannichedda... cmon these guys would be the stars of most other teams. no way will we build a dependence on vieira. He is simply shining on the pitch at the moment, which makes it look like Juve NEED him.

that´s true, most of people in this forum seem to consider giani just a good sub (some don´t even consider him juve material), but I believe he was lazios best player last season and that´s not something anyone can do
