Frey is a good goalkeeper with strong reflexes and agility, I wonder y he isn't selected in the French NT
indeed.he should be their first goalkeeper but Coupet is prefered too him.

IMO, if Frey had two Boneras in front of him, and maybe a Fabio instead of Paolo, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

On a somewhat unrelated note, this morning I caught the second leg of the Avellino-Napoli derby, which was decisive in determining who would get promoted to Serie B.

Talk about being a little too authentic. After a 0-0 first leg, this one ended up 2-1 Avellino, with a Napoli defender being ejected on a foul in the box that lead to Avellino's game winner on the PK.

By the end, the pitch was loaded with fans and they had to stop in for several minutes to clear them off and finish the game. Then when it did finish, Avellino fans stormed the field ... as well as Napoli fans with the mandatory handkerchiefs masking their faces, weilding knives, kicking down stadium loudspeakers, and swinging belts.

Now I don't feel like the first leg of the Bologna-Parma Toilet Bowl was so bad...

Last season I got two each week on RAI Int'l, but this year they stopped covering it for some reason. (It's not like Sky swooped down for all the "lucrative" rights for some reason.)

Because Avellino-Napoli is a big derby, and Napoli still has a big following overseas despite their C status, and this time the derby qualified a team for promotion, RAI Int'l covered both legs.

Interesting if you can watch high school soccer on TV. ;)

Actually, the game atmosphere is very provincial, which is certainly some of the more interesting aspects of the broadcasts. Because you certainly can't watch it for the skill or talents of the players...

I would believe that for Serie C...But I think that there would be skills and talents in Serie B (Of course to a lesser extent than Serie A).

It would be also interesting if you think of urself as a scout, or just watch out for those juve owned players loaned to these clubs:D

And they wouldn't need to fight for this battle. Bonera still hasn't proven anything to me yet. Frey deserves this credit.

I am glad Parma survived...... The city deserves a Serie A team...so does Bologna but only one team can win and I'm happy it was Parma... Gila scored a decisive goal and Frey had a great game
