Well, I was glad to see the Italy women top the US for the volleyball gold. They were insanely good. The defense ... the digs that were lofted high and vertical in the air for recovery and attack, and the blocks on a US team that lead in blocks to this point and got 0 ... were amazing.

that was the reference i guess but they'd need to win an actual world championship for the troll post

this one only makes them look confused
Semantics. Teams from all over the world participate in Olympics so that indeed makes them world champions.
But Lyle’s reference was to the NBA champs, which had 3 players in the squad who had 8 points combined in the final.

Is it true team US doesnt have an extra gold medal because the high jump dude didn't want to share the gold medal? If so that is the most american and unplympian thing ever, love it!
I'm not sure that it was only him. The Eurosport commentators talked about some deal among the high jumpers not to repeat the 2021 episode when two guys shared the gold, because it wasn't in the spirit of competing till the end.
But yeah, if they both accepted the offer to share the gold medal, the USA would have had 1 more gold than China.

Its not a sport at all, and it's a travesty it's in Olympics.

But for fuck sake, if you adding it to Olympics, why you have an awkward Annie the kindergarten temp teacher out there worming around with zero feel and touch.

Everyone knows B-boys supposed to be kickass short Koreans or Philippinos that dance with the perfect reflexes, feel and fervour of a 80s bronx kid.

People wanna see break dancing level of these maestros (but not in Olympics):

Not the gangly goof up there in your clip.
Maaaaaaan that's crazy!!!!

Happy with the result no matter U.S. have one more gold medal than us or not. The new boom in tennis is what excites me the most.

But the fact that we suck at football, basketball and volleyball will be haunting all Chinese sports fans perhaps for a long time. Lul.
