Our sporting officials fuck up everything. Instead of letting her compete in the 53 kg category, they essentially forced her to compete in 50kg category, due to which she had to lose a lot of weight to qualify. No surprise that she gained it back after a few days. Corruption in our country ruins everything.

Also, we had a dude named Lakshya Sen show signs of going all the way in Badminton Men's but he's lost the Semis to the eventual Gold medalist and lost bronze as well due to the pressure and lots of unforced mistakes. He's still young and has his future ahead of him, but as Ice said, funding and development at the grassroots is piss poor.
