I was watching some 3x3 basketball this Olympics... got me thinking did anyone play "Wembley doubles" at school, it was basically a football game consisting of a number of pairs playing against each other and against 1 neutral goalkeeper

That would make an amazing Olympic event

Fuck, I cheered for them like I'm a Serb myself. At one point I was pretty confident Serbia can do it. If only Jokic had made one of those open threes that he had to kill the momentum of their comeback.

One way or another, team USA will have more and more problems in the international tournaments. Curry, Durant and Lebron will not make it to another Olympics and they'll be left with with players like Edwards, Tatum and Haliburton to lead them and no one is scared of that.

I've been following European basketball since I was a small kid and I watch the NBA since 1989. Imo, this is the first time ever since that a team of best European players would beat the best USA team.

Curry fucked us really hard. The US team is 2 classes above us in terms of quality but we tactically destroyed them for almost whole match. Such a pity res favored the US here. Still, our boys did really amazing, such a fucking shame. Was really close. It was a great match.

But seeing as people with Covid aren't obligated to self isolate in most countries these days I assume athletes can compete.

Funny thing is NBA twitter been making fun of Curry for barely not scoring this Olympics, just coasting with 3-4 shots a game (some games only 2 shots). He was content with playmaking, screening and taking it easy. He scored as much tonight as he did in all other Olympic games so far I think lol


And he could do this because it's team of 10 first option scorers (not White and Jrue), and they were blowing teams out big time so he didnt need to take over.

Also because his style of offense is alot off ball moment with passers only trying to find you. Not playing with 4 other elite scorers who can iso score at will. It classes with how he functions best.

But Serbians defence being so smart this game, they found good tactic to limit these USA. But there's no gameplanning for an on switched Curry, especially one you can't double in insanely stacked team. He just runs rings around you and makes impossible shots.

They were great. I was pulling for them (yes, I'm a disloyal American, but that squad is all entitled fooks). I thought Serbia really got burned when they didn't manage the shot clock well and got caught out by the defense and had to make desperate shots. Meanwhile, the USA took their desperate shots and made threes. Sometimes a little luck is at play also.

The protocol is say nothing until you compete. When you don't win gold, sit in a wheelchair with an oxygen match and claim you had Covid.
