I guess this is today's news.

their is an articale on goal.com talks about that too. but what concerns me is that it also says that he is 175 cm and 66kg, do u think that he could take italian tough defenceing? he doesn't have the build of Zlatan or nedved, materazzi will end his career with the same tackle on Zlatan. just a thought.

P.s: i always look to the dark side :p

You're not alone with this thought. IIRC I've only seen him play once, plus some highlights. The match I remember seeing was the 2nd leg of Copa Libertadores final. He didn't impress me at all, small chap and didn't show anything to compensate it.

Palacio on Juventus list
Thursday 5 January, 2006

Juventus are preparing a move for Argentine starlet Rodrigo Palacio after missing out on Antonio Cassano.

The latter was being heavily linked with a switch to Turin but joined Real Madrid in a £3.5m deal earlier this week.

Now reports in Italy suggest that Juventus will offer Boca Juniors the same fee for the highly-rated Palacio.

The South American, who like Cassano is also 23, has been monitored by the Old Lady for some time.

Although Boca President Mauricio Macri recently stated that he wouldn’t be selling his prized assets, a deal could be agreed by the end of this month.

Speculation suggests that Juve Vice-President Roberto Bettega and director general Luciano Moggi will meet with Boca officials next week.

The Bianconeri’s plan is to swoop for the Argentina international immediately, then send him on loan to Chievo – who will lose Victor Obinna to Inter in January – until the end of the season.

Palacio, who has a Spanish passport and therefore can be registered with ease, is just 1.75m tall and weighs only 66kg.

Yet his balance, ball skills and goalscoring ability has caught the eye of a number of big European clubs.

Funny, the ESPN article only mention that Chievo once try to get him, when he still wasnt a Boca player, not that he will be loan out there...
