a little update; he's 18 yrs old and 1,63m high. Now if we get him and get back giovinco we are slowly building a dwarf-team :D No seriously, he seems pretty good, and he has (confirmed) double nationality. As for his position, he's classified as an "offensive-allrounder". He plays AM, LM or RM. Which is a big plus to me, very versatile. He himself told tuttosport (apparently :D) that he wants to be the juve's pato. Hell yes! in the "Torneo Clausura" (whatever that is...) he had 3 appearances with 3 goals and 2 assists. Sounds good to me. In the "Torneo Apertura" (which seems to be their serie-a if i understood correctly) he had 21 appearances, with 7 goals and 3 assists. Those statistics look brilliant to me. Up until now 6 games for Argentinian U20.
His market value is at 4.500.000 eur.
I'd say let's get him. Do you think it would be possible to play him alongside giovinco. That would definately be unusual but why not. 2 offensive midfielders. Then probably only 1 striker. What do you think?
I think they can. He can play as a LM and giovinco as RM in the future.... Both r so young and got great vision and talent. I really think that boy is talented, i watched estudientas last game against river plate and the boy really cought my eyes (short and very fast "reminds u of someone :D ", great dribbler and his passes r very accurate) he's just like giovinco but bitter dribbler and he's shots r bitter IMO, watching both him and giovinco in the same team would be pretty amazing.........

something like this:

--------Trez/Iaq--------
---Piatti --- Giovinco---
-LM - Sissoko - Camo-

This could be something for the after-neddy/delpiero. It would all depend on how well piatti gets used to serie-a and how he develops. But that lineup definately is promising (could maybe even hamsik play LM?) then we would have a very young and promising midfield.

From the looks off your formation we will be using the same formation that AC Milan uses THE CHRISTMAST TREE FORMATION.

PS: I think that Giovinco plays better at the left IMO.

Argentine Starlet Dreaming Of Juve

Estudiantes sensation Pablo Piatti has revealed that it is his dream to play for Juventus.

The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the most promising young players in Argentinean football, and he was a member of the victorious FIFA U-20 World Cup squad last summer.

Piatti is a diminutive and skilful support striker, who has forged a good understanding at Estudiantes with former Serie A players Juan Sebastian Veron and Jose Luis Calderon.

The teenager, who has been heavily linked with Juventus, is hoping to follow in Veron and Calderon’s footsteps, and move to the Italian league.

"I want to become the [Alexandre] Pato of Juve,” Piatti told Tuttosport.

“There has been concrete interest from the Bianconeri and I dream of playing in Europe.

"I want to follow my friends Sergio Aguero (Atletico Madrid), Lionel Messi (Barcelona) and Ever Banega (Valencia) in joining a great club. Juve remains one of the biggest clubs in the world."

Juventus are well known to be looking to add some creativity to their squad for next season, and many believe that Piatti fills the bill perfectly.

Piatti: I’ll be Juve’s Pato
Thursday 13 March, 2008

Argentine starlet Pablo Piatti has urged Juventus to sign him by promising to be the Old Lady’s answer to Alexandre Pato.

The Estudiantes hitman is one of the hottest prospects in Argentina’s Primera Division and is looking to show his talent in Europe.

The 18-year-old is of short stature, but was a key figure in last summer’s FIFA Under-20 World Cup and is looking to follow in teammate Juan Sebastian Veron’s footsteps and relocate to Serie A.

“I want to become Juve’s Pato,” Piatti declared in an interview with Tuttosport.

“There has been concrete interest from the Bianconeri and it is my dream to play in Europe.

“I want to follow my friends Sergio Aguero, Lionel Messi and Ever Banega in joining a great club and Juve remain one of the biggest teams in the world.”

The shadow of Piatti may be a source of concern for Raffaele Palladino as he is also able to play on the left wing or up front.

However, talks between the two clubs are said to be at an early stage and there are a number of other sides also lurking.

If he's that good ,we should put our money for this gambling , why don't we learn from the past blunder ? Ronaldo to MU , Pato to Milan , etc .

I don't care if he's short or what , he has the talent , we take him to our Juventus , develop him , inject him with our winning mentality DNA , improve his skill , provide him the best massager and he still could gets taller . LOL :juvefan2:

Get him , 10 Millions dollars is worth for this gambling and he's definitely more promising than Almiron for sure .

maybe we can use him as a new Del Piero??

Trezeguet/Iaquinta - Del Piero/*Piatti*

Palladino/Giovinco/De Ceglie - Camoranesi/Salihamidzic/Marchionni

Zanetti/Nocerino/Marchisio - Sissoko/*Hamsik*

*Vargas*/Grygera - Chiellini/Criscito - Legrotaglie/Andrade - Zebina/Birindelli

Buffon/Van Strattan

Lose:

Nedved (retires)
Molinaro (not good enough if we go CL)
Blasi (for Hamsik)
Zalayeta (for Hamsik)

for next summer then we need to build on defence someone new for on the right

costs this summer:

Piatti i think 15 mil
Hamsik will cost also 15 mil + Zalayeta & Blasi
Vargas will cost 20 mil

if we still have a little budget left then do it for the CB

  • Hamsik/sisso ? Doesn't hamsik play more offensively?
  • Palla/Giovinco/De Ceglie? first of all de ceglie is more defensive (i think; isn't he more of a LB?). Then, you can't put palla and giovinco in the same spot. Palla is more of a striker, and you can't expect 1 of them to rot on the bench. And rotating them every game is way too naive.
Your line-up is a bit strange. And we won't sign all the players you mentionned. First of all; Vargas for 20mio??? No way. I don't believe we will sign this piatti. I just read his interview on goal. It all does not sound as promising as tuttosport wrote it (surprise surprise).
Also, i believe hamsik to be very hard to get....
