He had at best a good season and a half in his entire career, that's no longer form.
If we take out his "injury-ridden" (word is that he wasn't actually injured for some of those games he missed) and problematic half season with Southampton he has scored around a goal every two games - 43 in 82 games to be exact - over the last three seasons.

I'm not a huge fan of his (I thought I should point that out because the instant you try to balance a debate you become a fanboy of a player here), but he's proven himself in Serie A, and the going rate for strikers with that ratio is above €9m. It's about €15m, but Osvaldo has baggage and is in mediocre form.

Immobile is 24. we cant consider him a youngster and unexperienced forever. Asamoah and Isla were 24 when we got them, Vidal too. what have they proved more that Immobile, whos the top scorer of the serie a btw, in their career before joining Juve. he needs to be bought back and there is not even a doubt about that

€9m would be a steal, honestly. Osvaldo isn't garbage, he's just playing like it. The problem with him is the baggage, so it's just a question on whether you want to risk money on a player who could implode up his own ass, or put it on a younger player.
 :howler: Sorry Jay, but anything other than a renewal of the loan on this pseudo footballer is a waste of time, money, and resources.

Yeah, by the end of the season he'll be worth €2m if he keeps being terrible. I'm judging objectively in terms of value, not what I think of him as a footballer. He's had back to back €15m transfers, and is a peak age international striker.

The biggest downside to someone like Osvaldo and anyone we choose for 3/4 striker is that they will never really get a chance to show their best form as they don't get a run of games. We don't have a real supersub specialist, which is something to think about. Immobile might be that player, or he might fall in with the rest. Considering Conte's lack of real rotation, if the 3rd or 4th striker gets something like 7-8 goals it would be an achievement.
