People still don't realize we'd be in deep trouble if Tevez or Llorente pick up some injury.

When we see Gio and Quag on the pitch it's usually just a headache, you simply can't expect anything from them.

We need a cover for our strikers and we got that for 'free'.
That's simply not true. Quag delivers goals. Drusanville please.

Stat wise he's just as effective as Giovinco, who I don't consider effective at all.

In Serie A Quag has started 3 matches and on 11 he came from the bench. He scored 1 goal. I don't describe that as delivering goals by any means.

If youre referring to him beingg as effective as Gio coz of their similar stats last season, you must also comsider, he delicered that in much less game time than Gio. Amd if its sbout this season, how many of those 11 times did he come off the bench for more than 5-10 minutes in the game? If you can cut Osvaldo slack for 1 goal in 4 games, you're pretty much talking about 1 goal in 3 games this season for Quag, and he probably got subbed out in those games he started too. Hes done fairly ok in the CL two seasons running for us, so please don't take that away from him. Osvaldo is soon going to be faced with a similar predicament (lack of game time, 80th min subs)' let's see how he fares.

I'm talking about this season. Stat wise he's just as same as Giovinco. Actually, Giovinco has been much more effective than Quag, cause he played 200 minutes less.

Giovinco also started 2 matches but on 8 he came from the bench, played 200 minutes less than Quag, yet provided as much as him. So time wise, Giovinco has been much better.

Now don't even bother talking about importance of CL goals from Quag.

You overrate him too much. Way too much.

Good sub to have.Much better than hacks like Gio and Quag for sure but i dont think Marotta has done anything praiseworthy here imo.

Infact,if we pay anywhere close to that 18m,its going to be one hell of a retarded deal.

I don't see how comparing them minutes wise mid season means much with an entire half season to play for. Gio has, if I'm not mistaken 1 goal to his credit in the league, and 1 in the coppa. Quag has the same. I think Quag started 3 games, and Gio started 2. Very marginal numbers. And Quag has 2 very important goals in the CL for our short run in The competition, The 200 mins mean nothing at this point in the season. A comprehensive comparison can be made if they're still here end of season, just like last season.

But again, these numbers are really small, but when you look at the context, it's unfair to say those goals in the CL have no importance. We were losing to Copenhagen at the time, and tying with Gala at home, when they were scored. They were definitely important to our cause.

I have for most part, considered Quag an effective squad player. I fail to see how I am overrating him by taking that stance. He is an impact player with a big game temperament and has got the goods to turn a game in tight situations, some agree. Some disagree. Within reason, I am aware of his strengths and weaknesses, and I genuinely think he's good enough cover till seasons end. I don't see the overrating.

Ladies take the Quag discussion to the Quag thread. We are gathered here to appreciate the awesomeness that is Osvaldo. Now if only he did something about his beard that looks like pubic hair.
