Because a Club like juve should sign quality strikers that can Score a goal or two against Top teams... But we waste Time and also money(Even if its less) on Anelka bendtner boriello and than "Hope" they come Good. As if they suddenly find talent in their Body because they signed for juve..... My shit aint gonna transform into gold just because i Hope so
Why would we be ripped off trying to sign a top striker in January to win us the CL when we are already out of the CL?

Osvaldo is replacing Vucinic/Quag, it's pretty simple.

It's been abundantly clear all season long that Giovinco and Quagliarella don't convince Conte at all, and we need a better option to use off the bench. I think the knockout in the CI was the final straw for those two.

Yep, our CI knockout against Roma is enough evidence against those two. We don't even need to consider the mass rotation exercise it has become. People need to realize that our bench is not good enough to field as a second team, but more as individual need gaps within the first team. Eg. Quag or Gio fit just fine when playing as part of a fuller first team, rather than as part of a team rotation, with half the team overhauled.

Depends on a) injuries, and b) how seriously we want to take the EL. Potentially having just Tevez, Llorente and Giovinco by the end of the day would not be good.
Personally, I don't see the Osvaldo signing as an intent towards the EL. I see it more as a bit more experience in front of goal, and possibly giving us a technical option that Conte believes will help us in the next couple of months. The EL is more coincidental.

You guys still talking about the EL as if we're gonna give it any importance, let alone signing a player to help us win it.

Nor do I, it just means we have someone to play up front in the competition.

Sure, though, that said, I'd still like us to have 5 strikers till the end of season. Whether that is Vucinic or Quag, alongside Osvaldo and Gio, doesn't really matter. Coz whoever that is has just bought themselves 5 more months, which will be spent more on the bench than on the field of play anyway. It's a fair precaution to take, with the EL which could increase the risk of injury and weariness.

People still don't realize we'd be in deep trouble if Tevez or Llorente pick up some injury.

When we see Gio and Quag on the pitch it's usually just a headache, you simply can't expect anything from them.

We need a cover for our strikers and we got that for 'free'.
