Ken,

Did you see much of Dries Mertens?
I read he ended second in the rankings of best player of the year in Holland.
Is he really that good? Is he ready to be a starter for our NT?
Only seen him a few times, not near enough to say anything about him though, sorry.

Ajax scored 106 goals in the Dutch League and conceded only 20 goals which makes them the strongest offence and defense in their league, and yet they ended up in second place. This is insane. :D

And Aissati wants to leave now, but Jol will try and convince him to stay, imo he has great potential but he needs to show it, its Sulemani they should get rid off.

That is him, the small quick guy yes.

And with all due respect but did Moussa really show something this season which would justify him a starting place?
Moussa wasn't that bad this season, second half of the season he was still one of the best. So yeah Ches I think he deserves a starting Spot ches:)

I see, didn't see much of the Dutch league this season so if you say he did ok since January, I guess he indeed deserves his spot.

Chester I wouldn't worry too much:

Lukaku - Dembélé

Hazard

Witsel - Fellaini - Defour - Mertens

Van Buyten - Kompany - Vermaelen

Bailly

:)
No room for either vertonghen or alserweireld m8?
They are one of the main reason the defence of Ajax was so solid, hmm Amauri did school him twice tho

On paper, this indeed looks promising.
Although I would trade Van Buyten with Vertonghen or Alderweireld.

Ahhhh true that. I haven't seen that much of Alderweireld, that's why I've put in Van Buyten there haha. My bad.

Tony Adams gets job managing Azerbaijan club

Former Portsmouth boss Tony Adams has been appointed manager of Azerbaijan national league side Qabala FC.

The 43-year-old, who has been out of work since being sacked by the Fratton Park outfit in February 2009, has signed a three-year contract.

Qabala FC are currently bottom of the table in a league of only six clubs.

Azerbaijan, a former Soviet state, is a country with large oil reserves and the owners of the club are believed to have offered Adams a lucrative salary.

"I was looking for a project. I am too young to retire," the former Arsenal defender and England captain told the BBC.

"This one was very rare. I just thought it was a magnificent project to get my teeth into. They've given me a clean plate here to build a football club and you don't get that opportunity in the UK."

The news of Adams's job has echoes of former Chelsea manager Phil Scolari's appointment as coach of Uzbekistan champions Bunyodkor in June.

Scolari is reportedly being paid an annual salary of £7.5m.

Adams, who also had a brief spell as manager of Wycombe Wanderers, will be joined in Azerbaijan by the former Tottenham and Brighton defender Gary Stevens, who had been coaching at Charlton
