Congratulations on the victory all you Swedes out there. It was certainly deserved and it's always nice to see Nick Lidstrom score the winning goal. He's easily one of the top three defenseman to ever play the friggin sport.

It was also nice to see that dirty Russian side get knocked out after such a good start. The more I watch Ovechkin and Kovalchuck the more I want those two arrogant jerks to get rocked in the dome.

Thanks Andy, I'm so proud. :) Yeah was great for Lidström, getting his Olympics gold at last. And what a goal it was! Stanley Cup, World Cup and now the Olympics, that's impressive.

Man of the match was Zetterberg though IMO. There's another Red Wings player for ya. :D

Yeah at times we had only detroit players (excluding Lundqvist) on the ice. I'm so incredibly impressed by Kronwall, when Lidström retires I see him taking he's place as the star in our defence line.

Zetterberg was m.o.m fo sure! Lundqvist deserves a mention as well, if we'd still have Salo in goal we would be wearing silver right now.

    OS-GOLD BAYBEEEEE!

Kronwall is going to be one hell of a player and Zetterberg was the man of the match indeed. Thankfully the former was able to recover from injury in time to play in these Olympics and get himself ready for duty with the Red Wings once again. We need our Swedes to be in good shape for the Playoffs come April.

    I love Sweden. :touched: :D

I think he has a point. I've been trying to get into watching the sport and enjoying it, because it's like football and all. But it's true, it's difficult to follow the puck and it can get annoying ! How do people manage...

The only time you cannot see the puck is when its near the boards, however not much happens to the puck while it travels around the boards and you don't miss much really. Sure, it's a small object, however when its in the middle of the ice you can still see it.

I don't know. I have played the sport since I was five so I know it rather well.

congrats to sweden. i was going for the finns actually, as they deserved it more, through out the whole olympics they were the best team. still swedes showed class when it was the most important and they're champs now.

congrats marty, pecker and all you other swedes out there.

p.s. it's really not that hard to see the puck seven, you can even notice where it is by player movements, it's obvious who has it when someone is control of the puck.

Ya you guys got a lot of our boys. I'm going to follow Detroit in the playoffs, they are definatly the best team in the NHL right now. Would be awesome to see Z, Lidström and all the other Swedes win the stanley cup.

My eyes are fine, thank God. Actually they're even far better than average.

Nonetheless I don't like the game very much, because I don't see how tactics could have a place in it. The field of play is so small and the level of difficulty is so high, that what you get are two teams messing up each other. Eventually you'll see someone scoring, which pretty much always looks lucky, and that's that.

You have to admit it's a very fast game. That's what annoys me about basketball as well. The Simpsons made a mockery out of football, because it's so slow, but I'm feeling that's exactly what makes it interesting.

Sweden did way too good in the olympics, and this was the icing on the cake. At least your curling victory was well deserved.

Bah come on. Yeah this was our best olympics ever. But the medals didn't just pop up. Even if all of our athletes wasn't gold candidates, they obviously had it in them.

What is it that you like? The time or number each athlete makes or the clothes they wear or the seeing the same things being repeated over and over again?
