With that Roma squad, he shouldn't be coming 6th in Serie A and he shouldn't be on the receiving end of 7-1, 5-1, 4-1 scorelines from anyone. Those drubbings occurred too often for him to be considered a decent option.

So if he comes, are we going to see something like this then?

-------------------Amauri/Trezeguet?-------------
-----DP/Gio------------Diego---------Camo/IQ---
--------Marchisio/Poulsen?---Sissoko/CZ--------
Criscito/DC----Chiellini---Canna/Legro---Zebina/?
------------------------Buffon------------------------

With Spalletti as coach, I would want part of his staff to include ppl already at Juve to help with motivation and defensive organization. Roma are chokers when it counts, and there defense is shit. I don't want those problems being transferred to Juve by bringing over their entire coaching staff.

Spalletti's Roma can play really nice football at times, and prior to this season, they were competitive with limited resources and no proper striker.

He made 2 CL quarterfinal with that horrible roma defence.
And M.G,remember who was at 2nd place 0607,0708 season.
It's no big achievement beating Real Madrid and Lyon these days... or finishing second in post-Calciopoli seasons, especially the one without Juve and points deducted from Milan.

You think those too frequent embarassing scorelines are coincidences? I don't. This isn't Roma, and imagine if we were to be humiliated by the likes of :inter:, Roma themselves or God forbid, an English team in the CL, how would you like that? I hope not to suffer one of those as a Juve fan too soon.

He is probably the best available coach at the moment, he has the experience and know how on how to coach a top team.

it will come down to him or Ferrara as our coach

One will play sexy football the other will play old school Italian football

This forum seems that can only remember what happened in the year before and nothing more than that.
It figures how most of the ppl consider Dagostino as the best midfielder in serie, Pep as the best coach in the world and Spalletti as the worst coach in serie A...
Stop over-hyping one season wonders and think it through!!

Spalletti, comparing to Ferrara and Conte is a far more proven coach!
He was very successful at leading inferior teams/material at higher places (Empoli, Udinese) And as far as i am concerned, thats the number one criterion to judge a coaches competitiveness/worth.
Not by using Messi, Henry and Xabi to win a tittle... just once...

Roma is going down due to their problems, no matter what he does,
they have lost their leader in both on and off the field and they have many internal problems. Roma has been weakened in the last summer transfer period, they have lost determination and dont forget that they are losers by default!

Having said all that, this year has revealed that without the proper support, he has his limitations, he is probably not the man who is going to lead us in top notch historic performances
(though the 11 consecutive wins streak he had with Roma wouldnt hurt our cause)

We are Juve and we deserve smth even better than that!
But thats the least we can do...

he doesn't know how to coach a top team when his top team finishes 6th. and gets 7 goals scored against them....i dont trust him. Ciro needs to be given the post. he has done well with our youth and in the regards has given the club more than experience...great young players. and has won with them. forza ciro.

Spaletti has also done well with Empoli's youth and led them to two consecutive promotions. And has reached the CL spot with Udinese, who were rubbish until then...
i guess that means nothing for you right, it all happened in the past...

Ciro and and Conte dont know how to coach a top team either... and have never matched those performances to show equal, or even greater potential than him.
He has even coached Roma to 2# for a few years, do those two have any similar exp at a top team? Or they are just "promising", only because they were good Juve footballers?

Go ahead and forget all that, just because Roma had one bad year, like it was all his fault...

Its not the position of Roma that is disturbing, its his attitude when the team is losing... His expression changes to one worse than Ranieri... At least Ranieri would try to 'defend' a 1-2 score and not go down by three, four or five goals... He's got experience, so did Ranieri... When was the last time we lost by three goals? How many times has Roma lost in the past couple of years by more than two goals? If we are going to replace Ranieri (who has achieved as much as Spalletti has - zilch) with another one of same/similar character we won't be improving much would we?
The thing is Juve fans don't crave for 'beautiful football'... If we are going to take a risk it might just as well be a bigger risk in appointing Ciro than going with a proven risk (if you get what I mean)...
