Wouldn't be a terrible appointment.

He is a good coach, but I have my doubts over his ability to organise a defence.

Overall, Spalletti is a good tactician...
Although I prefer giving Ferrara a chance, it's definitely not a bad alternative (Spalletti)

Theres somethign about him that makes me not liking him much for the job. He seems kind of hopeless sometimes.

If we are going to gamble, im going with ferrara.

Agree, he has a lack of motivation, he would hardly come off the bench and have a go, you end up seeing him on the bench instead and looking all glum and depressed. His record in CL isnt great especially against english opposition heck despite the positives, im rather inclined towards ferrara.. but only just.

5 for me.

He did a decent job with roma considering their financial difficulties. Their team looked free-flowing and great at times. The defence is below average at times (well many times lately).

He does seem hopeless when he's team is losing (and usually they get hammered with 4-5 goals).

Can't make up my mind on this.

It hasn't been so for about a season and a half.

Gross understatement. Their defence is embarassingly horrible.

He's certainly better than Ranieri, but honestly, the guy reminds me too much of said terrorist in the way he's stubborn and always looks like a defeated man.

And Red is right, Spalletti may not be able to organize a defense well enough for the players we have.

Spalleti rhymes with Spaghetti. Spaghetti is Italian, Spalleti is also Italian. Spaghetti + Spalleti = more Italian than Maldini. So yes, Spaghetti Spalleti is the man.
