Thanks, that looks interesting. I haven't read any books on this, have read a few of the fabled articles that still circulate in open source circles. One that I can recommend for an understanding of the ideas is Erik Raymond's "The Cathedral and the Bazaar": http://www.catb.org/~esr/writings/cathedral-bazaar/
