This is like saying, what is better? Being the biggest or best artist in the world? Obviously being the biggest gets you more money and fame, but generally it does not last. Being the best means you're really talented and generations to come will keep on admiring you.

I can't imagine Britney sitll being liked at 50+. Look at the stones, they're 60+ and still rocking!

Talent is immortal; fame just goes away as fast as it came.

People who are great musically, has sth interesting to say in music, record many albums, their albums are good, and they will be remembered by people ever.
Big names, big artists, big groups.
And they all are famous, not popular.

Cause imo: fame is sth what will last long, for decades, and it comes it pair with respect to your musical achievement.
Popularity is here and now, shorter or longer, a year or few years, and you must try hard, to achieve fame. And plus popularity is cheap.
Fame is immortal, popularity dies after short time.

I like that train of thought cos I think it's true. Cos you do become famous if you're good, but you also are thought to be 'good' or 'talented' if you're famous which like in Britney's case, is not the case.

But what about that in the magazines? That means NOTHING.

And worst.... North american magazines.

She is just doing her usual marketing campaign. Thats all......

You will know fabiana... just lets chec how long her album will be in the radi´s...and lets see if any of her new songs will beat his lucky shot "hit me baby one more time"......when that happens... then youll come to me and say that she is now "more popular".

And BTW..she is miles away of being like madonna. Madonna have done a very weird.. but succesfull career. She is mother now...and in the 40´s, ahs is still famous, and not neccesarily because she have big boobs. Madonna is already a legend in pop music, an icon that marked an era in the genre.....
Briteny is just a madonna wannabe..like a lot. So dont even compare both like Vit said.

And if some Brit´s albums beat the records of madonna...thats just because the good marjetin campaign she had... we are talking about 13 years after madonna´s best time.
