Not really. The midfield would miss a real ball winning and defensive minded player. The defense would have noone in front of them, and we would come back to the defensive mess we had in Lippi's last season. But if its your dream........

Well that's his problem.

I do like my formation though, and believe me Oddo is a better RB than Zebina in both the attacking and defensive aspects of the game. Oddo would add a lot more going forward on the right, and his free kicks could help us out a bit. He's also not as error prone as Zebina at the back.

I pretty much like 3-5-2 as it is more versatile than the classic 4-4-2, but it's not a good Juve formation, or right side would be too vulnerable against a team with fast and good left wings, as Camo has crappy defensive abilities and Thuram ain't that young anymore.

Also Samuel has had a crappy last season, and while I think that a move back to Italy can only do good for him, putting him as a Libero in Juve might be too much for him.

For that formation I'd rather have Pizarro than Rosicky, if only because Pizarro has slighly better defensive qualities than Rosicky and could help out Emo, who'll be carrying the weight of the game.

For our back line we'd still have some lack of bench depth, but overall it's a formation I'd like to see in Juve. So my reinterpretation of this formation would be:

Thuram-Samuel-Cannavaro


Camoranesi-Emerson-Pizarro-Zambrotta


Nedved

Ibra - Trez

The formation is flexible enough that you could replace other players without too much ado...

Real is a team that has always had a rubbish defence, and they play in a different league...

At Roma he was a world-class defender, with vision, nice tackles and leading qualities. But every defender's performance depends, on how much help he gets from his defensive partners and, very important, the defensive midfield. As Real don't have any other good defender, and the defensive mid. at Real wasn't there till Gravesen moved to Real, he didn't show all his potential at Real.

Believe me, if would get Samuel, without loosing Emerson, we would easily reach a new defensive recored, cause I can't imagine anyone scoring vs. Samuel and Cannavaro, with Buffon in goal and Emerson in defensive midfield.
