some of you still live in the past if you're seriously not over that milan match. there isnt even a need for me to argue, if some of you actually bothered to watch chimenti play in the past especially for cagliari you would understand. you were all licking his nuts at pre season with his penalty herorics
I'm over that Milan match. The thing is, Chimenti was never talented enough to be a first choice goalkeeper at a top club. He might be decent for a mid-table club or a club that fights to remain in the first league, but that's where it ends for Chimenti. The case with you defending Chimenti is the same as that meshleovic (or whatever his username is) defending Molinaro. The whole world knows he sucks but you chose to defend him just because he has a good penalty saving ratio.

tbh probably other than van der sar i cant think of another gk who has a good record in penalty saves.
Get over it already. Penalties are not everything. Him being good at penalties doesn't make him a good goalkeeper. A mate of mine is great at saving penalties, should I arrange him a meeting with Juve's BOD?

i never said that chimenti should be num1 that was never my argument, my argument is that i think alot of you are harsh on him simply because of one match, and despite what stats says it is undenyable to ignore the fact he is a good penalty saver, something not many top gks in the world can boast about, namely buffon, which before you all jump to conclusions doesnt mean to say he is better than buffon overall, just on this aspect chimenti wins it for me. i have this feeling if chimenti was in goal for the 2003 cl finals juve would of won it

there was one or 2 others in the original king chimi thread

http://www.juventuz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17372&page=102&highlight=official+jokes

ill never forget byrone saying something along the lines that inter have more chance of winning the league than my petition to bring chimi back of working. how wrong you were on both accounts :D
WRONG AGAIN! Inter was awarded the scudetto & secondly you really think your petition brought chimenti back? :howler:

If thats the case, please start a petition for Juventus to sign Messi & Benzema to prove me wrong.

Just to let you know, I edited that 'unknown reasons' part. ;)

About this post, I'll refer to my previous post:

Get over it already. Penalties are not everything. Him being good at penalties doesn't make him a good goalkeeper.
And nobody is denying that he is a good penalty stopper, but that doesn't make him good enough to be even a second choice goalkeeper at the club. Just look at Manniger, he's a brilliant goalkeeper and is a great replacement for Buffon while he is injured. Sometimes I feel sorry for him that he's our second goalkeeper, because he's very good at it. The same can't be said about Chimenti. And stop talking about that Milan match, I think everyone got over it, you just keep mentioning as an argument as to why people think he's a horrible goalkeeper.

If Chimenti was in goal in 2003 CL final the game wouldn't have gone to penalties:disagree:

no course i dont bloody believe that alone brought him back, but i had sent it off to juve and the fact he's back along with buffon's advice to bring him back brings a sense of satisfaction that it might of helped

was talking more about subbing buffon before the shoot out, but the match itself was so boring i dont think buffon had a thing to do all game

So you're living on a thought that your petition helped get Chimenti back to Juve? Nice aspirations you have there.
well how about this instead of you lot bitch whining about having the likes of xabi, moutinho, or whoever the f*ck you want, why dont you do something amazing and really follow your beliefs and do something similar. and if it doesnt work, you can at least say you tried that way effort and time on wasted pages of a forum havnt gone to waste as pages of history

I at least tried and like to think that is perhaps had an effect. Live for something or die for nothing. and i wasnt gona settle for this belardi sh*t
As much as i love Juve, there are more constructive things to achieve in life then to get a football club to re-sign a third rate goalkeeper.

I like what you said but reconsider your priorities.
