as he can play paired with another striker (like in swedish nt with Henke Larsson), he can play paired up with Trez, as well as with DP. This versataility makes him very useful for us, considering how injury prones Trez and DP are.

If he succeed, in the future he can be a leading player after the DP era.
Yes, yes, I know all of that, but he'll probably be used as a backup for Trezeguet, unless we get hit by an injury crisis to Mico and DP.

We might be able to compete with Inter and Milan now that we have Cannavaro, but we might as well still finish third - only closer to Inter and Milan in points.
you are not optomistic at all , we sucked last season and finished third:D

perfect!! he can add so much to our attack. i have no idea if he'll be on bench or not. one thing is for sure, trezeguet has to perform well because capello likes the type of striker zlatan is.

now zalayeta should be sold.

Ajax star Zlatan Ibrahimovic is reported to have travelled to Italy to open talks with Juventus.

Juve are keen to sign the Swedish international and are hoping to push through a deal before the close of the transfer window.

Ajax confirmed on Monday that they had received a substantial bid for the skilful striker from an unnamed club.

Roma have also been strongly linked with Ibrahimovic, but it appears that Juventus are the club in question who have made an offer for the forward.

Reports emanating from Holland and Sweden suggest that Ibrahimovic has made his way to Turin to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms.

Ajax are reluctant to see Ibrahimovic leave the Amsterdam ArenA, but have decided to accept Juve's offer for the player after he rejected their offer of a contract extension earlier in the summer.

Juve boss Fabio Capello has been keen to bolster his attacking options as they have little cover for David Trezeguet and they see Ibrahimovic as a key addition to their squad.

Ajax striker Ibrahimovic to join Juventus - report
Tue 31 August, 2004 10:44

AMSTERDAM, Aug 31 (Reuters) - Swedish international striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to join Italian Serie A side Juventus from Dutch champions Ajax Amsterdam on a four-year deal, Dutch media agency ANP reported on Tuesday.

Ajax chairman John Jaake said the clubs had almost finalised the deal, bar some some minor details, on transfer deadline day.

According to media reports Ajax will receive a 19-million-euro ($22.95 million) fee for the 22-year-old, who has scored 35 goals in 74 league appearances since he joined the Dutch club in 2001.

Ajax are negotiating with Roda JC Kerkrade over signing 20-year-old Arouna Kone to replace Ibrahimovic.

Aroune Koné had the interest of the likes of Manchester United, Valencia and Olympique Marseille last week when they scouted him.

So he is absolutely fabolous, this could well be the next Kanu-a-like status player for us
