No....Ajax IS stupid rather than Moggi being a genius. Zlatan had 3 years left on his contract and they now sold him to their CL rivals when they could've kept him for a season or two and get that price to ripen up some more.

2 years. And that was their plan, but he and VDV couldnt play together anymore and one had to leave.

He had a bust up with VDV after the Sweden - Holland friendly a few weeks back, I guess that opened up this scenario. VDV got injured when zlatan set up one of Sweden's goals.

I wholeheartedly agree.
we were not that good anyways.... and zlatan is a hell of a player. We add a new dimension to the attack with xlatan there.

Remember that we didnt have a great goalscoring with our attackrs. Neddy made many goals himself. This campaign, we have 3 world class players

WOW,

I LOVE transfer deadline. So much things happen so quickly~!!!

I am more or less with our transfer campaign now. Hasnt exactly been perfect, but given the situation Moggi has done fairly competent job even though I will reserve my judgement until next year. Anyway, as for next year, I am pretty confident now that we have a competitive team. Right now, I still believe we lag behind Milan and Inter in terms of talent, but at least we have squad that can fight for major honours.
And speaking of Zlatan - I do believe he have the skills to become a SUPERSTAR. He has confidence ability and confidence to succeed in Serie A. The problem is he has to find way to channel his aggression IMO. And ultimately I think Juve will groove him to replace Del Piero. Anyway, I believe Alex still got some lives left in him and I totally agree with Seven. Del Piero, on his day, is a match winner and genuine WC player with bags of skill, determination, and team ethic. The problem is that of settling into his form and rythm, and gaining that confidence. Everyone who plays a sport (Golf, baseball, football, basketball whatever) will tell you, having that confidence makes a huge difference. And most importantly he has to stay away from injury. In this sense, I think Zlatan will get a fair share of playing time - Partly to protect Alex from overworking and getting injuries.
There is still much more work to be done if we are to win major honours this year, because just signing big name star doesnt gurantee a success. So I think we should wait and see what our signings will bring before jumping into suggests that we are unbeatable this year. And Paolo Montero is absolutely right - Loosing Miccoli is a big loss. His incredible skill, audacity, shooting, and most importantly exhilirating pace would have been a huge asset to our team. Oh well, Moggi can make up by signing Tevez next year I guess. Imagine Tevez - Ibramhinovic. That would make some defenders :dazed:.:D.

So we now have still one natural goalscorer, Trezeguet, I wouldn't class either Zlatan or DP as great goal scorers, they are both scorers of great goals.
