Ibra and Vieira fight Thursday 27 April, 2006

The pressure mounting on Juventus boiled over today as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Patrick Vieira were involved in a training ground fracas.

The incident occurred during a training match in which the two players were on the same team.

Ibrahimovic was incensed when he passed to Vieira and didn’t receive a return ball.

The Swede berated Vieira loudly and gestured at him angrily before the two squared up and it needed several teammates as well as Coach Fabio Capello to prevent the pair coming to blows.

After several minutes the game continued with Vieira and Ibrahimovic still on the same side.

It remains to be seen whether either player will face disciplinary action.

It is also not the first time that Ibrahimovic has been involved in a training ground feud.

The ex-Ajax marksman is known for his fiery temperament on and off the pitch, while Vieira is no saint himself.

Tensions are running high in the Juventus camp after a run of five games without a win and defeat in the Champions League.

Victory in this Saturday’s clash with Siena is essential for Capello’s men, who now hold a slender three-point lead over nearest challengers Milan.

What makes me laugh now is Zlatans comment when he first came to us, about fighting for a position with Del-Piero to partner Trezeguet and i quote ''Im not here to sit on the bench''

Yeah......Course you aint mate. :D

I think Juve should sell Ibrahimovic´and buy a Player who playes more or less constantly good.
Ibra is not anymore good enough if he doesn´t score wich he didn´t in a long time
he doesn´t belong to Juve anymore.
And if he acts like that it makes me more angry.
And i realy don´t understand why Capello let´s him play on and on again.
Doe´s someone of you?

Yeah. He deserved it last season but now it´s over with my patients for him.
Everytime I´m watching a match with him playing when he gets the bal i know exactly that it doesn´t go in. And I´m realy exploding in front of the television and hoping that he brings in the fast as he can Del Piero.:D

if i had to choose between a young forward with loads of potential that he is yet to fulfill and an old defensive midfielder who's past his prime,id go for the former in a heartbeat.
me too, but cassano signed for madrid, and mutu isnt exactly young unfinished talent?

I was not joking...
This depends on how you describe the talent is.
Acrobat player can make very good acrobatic skill with ball but i can't say he has talents on football.
Zlatan maybe a talented acrobat player, not footballer.
He is more talented as a acrobat player than Cassano..
