The root of the issue, of course, has to do with endorsements. Nike gave Zlatan a lot of cash in order to put him front-and-center in a number of their recent advertising campaigns.

Which, despite the fact that Zlatan actually does have talent and has some growth potential, was terribly premature. Nike gambled after a good premiere season in Serie A, knowing nothing of his second-season struggles combined with a WC outing that even made Tim Crouch look endorsement-worthy by comparison.

Zlatan and his agent, however, have smoked the endorsement crack big time and believe in it -- not realizing that it was foolish marketing money on Nike's behalf to begin with. So they will continue in an attempt to try to capture that pedestal Nike prematurely, and errantly, placed him on.

Unfortunately for both Zlatan and his agent, they're going to have to realize that it won't matter whether he plays for Juve in B or Inter in A. While a good, promising player overall, he currently exhibits little of either the talent nor the leadership required for him to retain any of his high profile endorsements now that the marketers have caught on.

The great irony is that he arguably could achieve that more over the long-term by helping a club climb back to Serie A than he ever could trying to convince people with an attitude of entitlement in football's elite. The best, most sellable hero stories concern those who faced and overcame adversity -- rather than those who act as if they were born with a silver spoon in their mouths.

spot on swag

the guy and his agent think that he would get a better chance if he plays under the spotlight in serieA, which is very wrong.Serie A defenders got his number and it will be hard for him to make an impact without an attitude change and only in juve can offer him that.

we should sell him to the MLS or some shit .. he can do his stupid party tricks there and look cool. hell that loser might even score a goal .. although i doubt it. Man he sucks .. i think if we could offload him to milan it will be a bonus when we get back in serie A cuz he sucks sooo much. He is definatly not worth a damn at all and if we can get some cash for him why not .. better than paying him to trash the ball over the crossbar anytime he gets in the box ... he should be a defender with a clearance like that

actually after what he did I think that we must sell him as soon as possible coz his attitude could ruin our team if he is to stay against his will!!! BUT wait & u will see that he will do brilliant stuff with Milan(or Inter) next season!!!

i dont belive this :disagree: finnally u r convinced that with the attitude he has he will just pull us back. i dont really care if he plays well for inter or ac milan i think we should care about how he plays with juventus at the end of the day. i think he should've been shown the door ages ago!!

i used to like him with ajax but then figured out the sad truth that he is over rated i mean u cant possibly compare ajax or the dutch league with seria A. besides i cant stand his attitude he gets on my nerves sooo much. he misses the easiest chances infront of the goal and thinks he is a super star i hope we can drop him soon. :agree:

i will def get a neg rep form someone anytime soon for this comment:disagree:

as for the holiday it was alright byrone got my skin peeling so this explains alot about how hot it was over there. must have been 40 degrees!!!!!

Good post, but you're mistaken in one thing: Zlatan in fact has very little talent. Tricks he has, but skill? No.
