Well, I think that the new management were so scared of keeping Mutu, and wanted to avoid any chance that they'll be asked by Chelsea for compensation...

So, the deal was to get rid of Mutu, and whatever comes as a result would be welcome by them, regardless how little it was...

I think that's nonsense, Chelsea had no legal rights to demand anything, they sacked him we picked him up, it was just bitternes, nothing was ever gonna come out of it.

Selling Mutu was definitely a silly decision. I understand some sales, but this one came as a unpleasant surprise.

i hope vlatko is right about Secco getting more out of the mutu deal than those measly 8m and the loan of a player.I hope its an option on Pazzini or Toni, even though i don't want the latter.It would at least show Secco did something right.

We should keep Boji for at least one more season.He already knows the team dynamics and he had some good performances.

Chelsea certainly have no right under English law for compensation (assuming it is the same as Scots law).
