Completely overexaggeration over two different sets of comments you dont even know he really said at all (or if so, how he said it), but only have the media's spin account of. And even if he said it, this is how it works with automatic PR talk prepared by agent. He signs for Liverpool, he says he is happy in a big club and doesnt want to move (how serious Juve was about signing him was unknown, or how good the offer was, even then, he was at the CL runner ups and prolly had little incentive to leave). Then the media can happily deduct and make out to be that since he said he wanted to stay in Pool, the big club, he must naturally mean Juve the interested club is a small one.
Same thing with now...He is signing for Juve, and he says he has been a fan since he was little (neither of us can know, he might be, making it sound like he is some huge anti-juve guy when is just another typical professional player), thats just automatic PR talk. Stuff that shouldnt be said because too many say it and you can see through it, but its just part of the bussiness.
He like most bussiness people says whats in his interests and to the interest of those who pay him. He is in Pool, "they are a big club" he comes to Juve "they are my favourite team". That just how it works, either you are naive as fuck to hang up on typical media crap, or just looking for reason to hate him. Either way its foolish to be so overly negative. You dont like him being signed? Good enough, I dont either, mostly for the big fee, but blame that on Secco (or Ranieri, but he doesnt handle the signings), dont let it all out in the player himself. And atleast be neutral about him, or hope he does well (even if he isnt much of a good player), instead of being against him like he has already failed...
