I watched the clip & all it tells me is that Sissoko is very similar to Nocerino. A destroyer who just rushes in. The only similarity between Sissoko & Tiago is that both tend to pass the ball backwards & that is the reason Tiago is being shipped out. What we need is a player who can collect the ball from the destroyer aka Zanetti & Nocerino & deliver some sweet defence splitting passes to the strikers. Can Sissoko do this?

Don't you ever use Edgar to justify signing that useless pirck Sissoko... there is no fucking way to base your comparsion as Davids is miles ahead of Sissoko in every single aspect of his game.

Well i'm still confused guys whether we should buy this one or not. In one hand, Momo seems the perfect one : Good physique ( a thing that tiago lacks), good runing , smart tackles, nice tries when the opportunity occurs. Still, he's no lampard nor xavi alonso. both could easily drive the game. Obviously, Sissoko could not do that perfectly. As long as we base our play on wingers : nedved and camo (4-4-2), I would like to have him in this scheme. If we decide to change our style to a diamond line-up then that would be a not-needed-bonus.

yes ,but that is only one clip you saw from one match against Chelsea who won title in that year not sure..
I am not 100% sure could we get anyone better in january , but ranieri would not put his neck on a line for him.
He was his coach in Valencia, and guy is only 22.
I dont want us to waste money either, but i think all we have is only loose change for transfer.

Frustrated With Tiago, Juve Boss Ranieri Still Chasing Liverpool’s Sissoko


Juventus boss Claudio Ranieri has admitted to his frustration with Tiago, who is reportedly a target for Tottenham, and suggested he is in for Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko.

Portuguese midfielder Tiago, who joined the Turin giants from Lyon in 2007 summer for £10million, has struggled and reports suggest that the former Chelsea boss is looking to sell him and bring in Mali international Sissoko.

Ranieri told Radio Anch'io: "Although it is undeniable that some of the players have paid a price for the burden on someone who puts on the Bianconeri shirt.

"And my biggest concern has been Tiago, a player I have followed since he played in Portugal.

"He has all the characteristics to be a great player and I cannot understand why he is unable to make the breakthrough here."

Ranieri also revealed that he is still looking to sign Sissoko after it had appeared that the Italian club have cooled their interest in the 22-year-old Reds defensive midfielder.

"Sissoko could arrive. He is a good player that could fit into the pattern of our team," added the 56-year-old Italian tactician.

Juventus chase £7m Liverpool star?!?

Italian giants Juventus are hoping to secure a move for Liverpool midfielder Momo Sissoko this week.

Juventus chiefs Jean-Claude Blanc and Alessio Secco are due on Merseyside today in the hope of thrashing out a £7 million deal for the 22 year old midfielder.

Sissoko has made 14 appearances for the Reds this season and although he is keen on staying with the club, boss Rafa Benitez may be tempted to let him leave in a bid to raise funds to secure the signature of Javier Mascherano.
