fair point fred (same with nedved's dives - ok I said it) of course that doesn't mean that more terrors are the answer.

ever, you obv got a thing for the dude but in all honesty we just don't frickin need another dm let alone a predominantly destructive one.

look, this is bs anyhow, the reported offer doesn't include giovinco in a trade so you know secco's not going to sign off on it.

Poulsen To Hold Out For Free Transfer

Sevilla midfielder Christian Poulsen is content to see out the last year of his contract with the club in order to become a free agent in the summer of 2009.

Poulsen has enjoyed a successful time at Sevilla since joining from Schalke 04 in 2006, but with his contract set to expire at the end of the next season, the Danish international wishes to play out his remaining time at the club before becoming a free agent at the end of his deal.

Clubs such as Real Madrid and Barcelona have expressed an interest in the midfielder, who has €10million buy-out clause in his contract, but at twenty-eight years old, Poulsen still feels that a move to a big club is possible in a year's time, and would prefer the extra financial benefits that come from signing for a club on a free transfer.

Poulsen is no stranger to the Bosman ruling, having joined Sevilla on a free transfer after four years at Schalke and the suggestion is that his intention was always to play in Andalucia for three years before moving on at the end of his contract, a wish that he has made clear to his lawyer and legal representative Jorn Bonnesen.

The Danish midfielder has rejected numerous attempts from Sevilla to extend his contract, and also turned down a move to French club Lyon after they paid his buy-out clause. Sevilla president Jose Maria Del Nido has previously take a hard-line with players who wish to leave the club, and it will therefore be interesting to see how this story will play out over the summer.
