I'd love to see a defender win that award. Cannavaro damn right deserves it. Italy have only conceeded one goal and I mean, just look at that goal. He has been a great influence at the back and is handling the captain role in Gli Azzurri with perfection.

The only player that I would accept snubbing this award from Cannavaro is Lahm, those are the only two who has been consistant throw-out the tournament in my opinion.
