Come on bro! De Rossi is a beast. For a defensive midfielder, he got the whole package. Great tackling, running and perfect passing and shooting. Can't see any flaws with this guy other than playing in Rome.

Wow. Zero world class second forwards. Not what you'd expect from the nation that produced Baggio, Del Piero, Totti, hell even Cassano. The one thing I'm hoping for when it comes to Italy is that Claudio has a great World Cup. I think he should be a starter, I just love to see this guy play football.

And to be honest, the opposition in midfield isn't all that great. Camoranesi hardly played this season, Candreva's decent but has got a long way to go, Cossu is Cossu, Gattuso's really old, Montolivo collapses under pressure, Palombo is average at best and Pepe's extremely annoying. Leaves De Rossi and Pirlo.

Don't get me started on the defenders by the way. This is a very average squad. Now I know that sometimes average teams win, but I mean.. come on, compare this to what Italy had in 2006!

Has Italy's 23-man squad been already announced?
Apparently 1st of June will be the final date. What was announced today were the provisional 29-30 men squads.
I guess most of the coaches will pick the 23 men from these provisional squads, but maybe some new faces will be added.

Gattuso's called
Fucking Gattuso

Seriously, Gattuso was useful back in the days. He didn't know how to play football but he was fighting and running.
Now he doesn't run, doesn't fight and all that is left is his lack of talent to play football.

He missed the entire season last year and this year he's been either terrible or he was a bench warmer.
