Zambo is better than any of the Italian fullbacks playing a regular role at the Azzuri ATM. And maybe he could lift his level for the prestigious WC, he had had a pretty decent "rest" this season so I wouldn't be surprised if he was something in Africa.


Yet Pirlo with De Rossi beside him is a different story IMO.

Exactly. Yet playing other formations in case of injuries/fatigue/defending a lead, means you need to have such backup plans.

I'm with this. With a trequartista and wingers around him you don't need a regista. We played Melo/Sissoko in the midfield 2 and won 5-1
