If Italy is going to play with Totti behind two strikers, I think putting Camo in the team makes it a bit too attacking. I'd prefer a more defensive player.

Totti has had a very good season so far though.

I have nothing to add if you think that Juve lacking Camo is the reason for our horrendous season. I've never liked Camo and I don't like such a nonchalant player in my team.
I don't think Totti is capable of playing the trequarista role anymore. If anything they'd probably play him as a second striker.

They play good only when it matters :touched:
Ya, whenever they don't do well in a tournament, they just say that it doesn't matter.

The confed cup does matter, if it didn't then Italy wouldn't have played their first choice team.

That comment just showed how biased you are to the Italian NT.

The Euros didn't matter?
It did but Donadoni would ruin any team he's coaching :disagree:

I was obviously joking. I'm still not the biased one here. What national team has constantly been playing well in the last three or four years except for Spain? Argentina? France? Holland? England? Italy qualified for the World Cup much easier than many of those teams. They got eliminated in the Euros by Spain who won the whole thing eventually and yes, I don't give a damn about the Conf. Cup.

Bah, I can't blame you. After all, only a selected elite can appreciate a genius like Camo.

Cronios once made a great description of Camo: Maybe he wasn't the best crosser among the wingers, but he sure was one of the best 5. Maybe he wasn't the best dribbler among the wingers (although he might be the best) but he sure was one of the best 5. Maybe he wasn't the best passer among the wingers, but he sure was one of the best 5. Maybe he wasn't the most hard working winger, but he sure was one of the most hard working 5 (he lost his step though in these last years). Maybe he wasn't the winger who took the best set-pieces (corners and free kicks from the sides) but he sure was one of the best 5.
But when you combine all these categories, he actually was the best.

Fantastic player.

They look quite good now tho, and since the tournament is not being hosted in Europe they should be favorites

Do you think alot of the team in the Confed Cup will play in the World Cup mate?
That isn't relevant. The players Lippi chose, where his first choice players at that particular time. So if the WC was held in 2009, then yes, Lippi would have chose the exact same team.
