Because they sat back and defended with 10 men both games? The third game of the group stage hasn't even been played yet how can you say that? They were extremely lucky to come off with a point against Italy and didn't deserve anything more against France. For all you know they will get hammered 5-0 by Holland. Romania have done themselves proud and can be much happier with their performances than Italy and France because they are a weaker team but I do not agree that you can make that assumption without seeing the final group games yet. They have played Holland in the qualifiers but haven't yet played this Holland that beat Italy and France. We will see on Tuesday who deserves to go through. If they beat Holland then I will agree with you. If they lose then the winner of the Italy-France match will deservedly take place in the next round.
I think he will play Pirlo. Pirlo has been the Azzurri's only impressive midfielder in the tournament so far so Crapadoni better start him. TBH I don't care that much of Romania beats Holland as long as the Azzurri beat the French. If Italy beats France and Crapadoni loses his job I will be happy. I would play.

I don't want to see Panucci play again, yes he scored from all of 1 yard out but he also almost scored an own goal, he gave away a needless P.K., and left acres of open space for Romania. He is crap and should retire from international duty.

I think this 4-3-3 formation will never work with Italy. Because of this:
1. This formation requires our three forwards to cover a large area and have great teamplay and also play alone. Beside, both Pirlo and Camoranesi must have great pace to attack and come back to defend. And they can't. I didn't see it in previous matches. !
2. If this happens, then Pirlo and Camoranesi will have to move forward to collaborate with Dinatale and Cassano. Then all you will see is they manage to cross. Then Toni fails, then the opponent counter-attack, we only have De Rossi in the front of the CBs. Then we'll be fucked.
