The Uefa says yesterday's referee was right when he decided Toni's goal was offside! If I understood right,it has something to to with Del Piero, even though we all know he was passive.

Uefa=Bunch of fags.

Edit:Meanwhile...
Övrebö:
C'è poco da discutere, sul gol annullato a Toni ieri sera ho sbagliato: l'ho anche detto alla commissione arbitri Uefa».
Translation:
There's nothing to discuss about,I made a mistake on Toni's annulated goal: I told that the bunch of fags aswell.

Juve's defense > Italy's defense

Juve's midfield > Italy's midfield

Juve's attack > Italy's attack

Juve's coach > Italy's coach

Juve > Italy

The Possibilities

If Romania beat the Netherlands, then Romania are through in second place and the France-Italy result is immaterial.

If Romania draw with the Netherlands, then the winner of France-Italy would qualify, unless they draw as well, in which case Romania go through.

If Romania lose to the Netherlands, the winner of France-Italy will go through.

If France-Italy is a score draw, Italy go through.

If France-Italy is a goalless draw, Romania would go through, providing they lose by less than three against the Netherlands.

If Romania lose by more than three, Italy qualify due to a superior goal difference.

If Romania lose by three exactly, Italy will qualify ahead of them courtesy of a superior UEFA coefficient.

What UEFA did today was not just unacceptable. From now on I don't believe in the fairness of this tournament anymore. I still refuse to go into conspiracy theories, but the UEFA behaviour towards the Italian is simply awful. I don't see why anyone in the right mind would claim that that goal was effectively offside. Del Piero, who was not even participating in that play, was onside as well.

According to corrieredellosport.it the Netherlands will just change the team on 4 positions. Boulahrouz,De Jong,Kuyt& Oijer will have a rest. Heitinga,Bouma, van Persie and De Zeeuw will come in.

_________Van der Sar
Heitinga Bouma Mathijsen van Brockhorst
_______Engelaar De Zeeuw Sneijder
van Persie_____________van der Vaart
__________van Nistelrooy

If that's true that's not a 2nd squad at all and the quality doesn't drop. The opposite is the case with players like Heitinga and van Persie:tup:

The rules just keep on changing. Suddenly Del Piero was active and suddenly his onside position becomes an offside position. What travesty of reality is that?

Buffon: Remember Van Basten, We Are Your Friends

After the surprising turn of events in yesterday's second matchday of Group C, Italy are once again left hanging in the balance, and are depending on the result of the Holland-Romania game to qualify. A win for Romania against the already qualified Oranje would automatically eliminate Italy regardless of their result against France, but any other result would still give them a chance.

Memories of Euro 2004, when Sweden and Denmark played out a 2-2 draw which they knew beforehand would eliminate the Azzurri in the group stages, are already leaping to many Italians' minds, including that of goalkeeper Gigi Buffon.

"I couldn't stand another fixed match like that 2-2 draw between Denmark and Sweden four years ago," he said. "I trust in the sportsmanship of the Dutch, and I also hope [Dutch coach Marco] Van Basten remembers he is a friend of Roberto Donadoni's and of Italy in general.

"Let's hope things go well. In these four days we will prepare for the match against France in the best possible way," Buffon concluded.

As if I complain about the referee every single time we happen to lose a match or fail at an achievement. Unlike Azzurri fans, I take responsibility for our failures, just like I ALWAYS do with Juventus' failures, as in reality when you play this bad you don't deserve any luck. Please tell me where the referee in this instance gave a yellow card to an innocent man who was already booked and then pulled out the red card to show this innocent man off the pitch. Sorry, but offsides calls are much less fucked up than that.

Call me a hypocrite or whatever you like, the fact of the matter is in every single tournament I see Azzurri supporters whining about the supposed calls that have sent them out of the tournament. In 2000 it was the referee not calling stuff against the French defense, in 2002 it was the Byron Moreno being paid off, in 2004 it was the bloody Scandinavians, and now it's the referees once again. How fucking pathetic and cheap can you people be? You're always trying to pinpoint a scapegoat to blame all your failures on, and for some reason you always succeed because it's like a fucking train here... if you don't win the tournament, you've been cheated.

I mean grow the fuck up already. The reason why I'm getting annoyed with the Azzurri and Italy is not because of their football or any of their players. Rather, the reason why I'm getting annoyed by them is because they never own up to failures, how they always blame stuff on the opposition like they did when they played my side, how they think they deserve better treatment by the refs than others, how they believe they're the biggest team ever, and how they hide behind their weak ass Italian blood to racially discriminate people who want to play for them.

So if people are angry with me because of my verbiage against the Azzurri, blame yourselves because you're doing a great job at segregating people from you as it is.
this coming from a bonafied Azzurri hater....so I cant really take this too seriously

however-

The tournament is effectively over for Italy as I have seen nothing from this team to suggest we can beat France. I hope to be proved wrong however.

As for yesterday's game, yes the offside call was a poor decision, but these things happen in matches - it was nothing more than a bad mistake by the ref's assistant.

It's a shame, I was expecting a lot more. It seems my expectations were too high.
exactly what I think.....DONEadoni has to go !!!

as the ball is played, both Del Piero who was accused by FIFA to be active and offside, and Toni the goalscorer were clearly onside. Goal 1-0 Italia
I think the line is a bit mis-placed;). But still, even if Del Piero would have been offside in that moment,he was passive and therefore not "guilty". It was Toni who scored and he was at least 1 metre on-side. Sure, Azzurri haters could argue that the referees don't have cameras and slow motions in that situation but c'mon it's 1metre.

Edit:I was wrong,the line's fine;).
