It would be a better game without these controversies IMO. Time after time referrees are the deciding factor in games and this has to stop. Humans make mistakes, so i think its about time we introduce the technology to prevent these mistakes and put an end to these controversies that arise every year, in every game, in every tournament. Football is becoming too political and quite frankly is making me sick!
Football is a fast paced game,and all these camerachecks in the game would totally ruin that.The level of refreeing should be improved,yes,but introducing Technology is not the right way to do that.Right now we're only talked about offsides..but in the future people will demand camerachecks for fouls,handballs,dives etc.It would make football slower,and much less attractive.
Let me tell u something...we(romanians) lost a dozen of qualifiers because of the referees!We complained,but of course,we didn't had a chance!I'm sure there is no conspiracy against Italy,the referee was poor,that's all!And maybe it was God justice,that penalty was wasted!But why you don't look at what Italy is playing?Do you think yesterday Azzuri played better?Don't think so...and i tell you,i'm a fan of Italy and i've wished to qualify alongside us in the quarterfinals!Now,one of us will be out surely...
I refuse to look at tactics, players and team performances, when they are not the things that decide the game. If they use video referees we might start talking about the game again. Like you said perhaps Romania did lose a dozen of qualifiers, it's not about football anymore.

The basic problem here is refreering.Refrees in Italy are poorer or 'made to look poorer' than the ones in EPL or La Liga.We all know that the problem in Italy is corruption and not necessarily the ineptness of the officials.For that you need to increase the checks and balances outside the pitch.And maybe countries could trade refrees.That could be a good solution too.
You can have cameras in slow sports like Cricket,or even in Tennis,which is slower compared to Football..but Football is based on flow.Cameras would fuck that flow up.Even if Cameras are introudced,FIFA would probably bring up some moronic '5 refreering challenges per game rule' like in Tennis.It simply doesnt help the game.The beauty,the flow,the ambience..it all goes away.Yes i know not having cameras would make the game unfair as the best team might not always win,but the sheer beauty of the game would get spoiled.Controversies,wether we like or not,make up football.

I don't want Inter to win year in year out because of referees. You can go to hell with your flow, your beauty and your ambience, because it's all not there. Oh, and maybe people here don't realise it, but France deserved a penalty at the beginning of the second half. The fact UEFA didn't even consider showing enough replays makes it even worse. I mean, when De Rossi is taken down in the Romanian penalty area there are no replays, when Panucci touches a Romanian we get five. That's odd.
