Talk tactics and whatever you'd like, but something is broken with this Azzurri side. And no, it's not the loss of Cannavaro that makes you play this badly. Something just isn't working with this team. Maybe it's Donadoni that can't get the squad together, or maybe the players just aren't motivated, or perhaps they're just all out of form. By watching Pirlo, he doesn't even look like himself. Something is wrong here and you're in the position you're in because Italia is fucking up.

People blame Toni but he's just the scapegoat, along with the refs, like usual.

What Italy need right after the Euro's is a new era. Players like Materazzi,Panucci and Zambrotta should end their career with the national team and make space for the young guns.
Portugal did this and we need to follow that example. The future NT should be build around players like Montolivo,Aquilani,De Rossi,De Silvestri,Santacroce,Chiellini,Giovinco,G.Rossi and Cigarini.

I don't know what are the attackers doing. It's a shame that all the assists and the goals are thanks to the defenders.
Chiellini has one assist, Panucci scored one goal while Zambrotta made 1 assist and scored 1 goal.

italy weakness in the middle of the field, they dont seem strong enough to cut the attack maybe its from donadoni tactic but they give enough space for the other teams to do whatever they want with the ball.

so it might help if they play pirlo on the front of de rossi and gattuso/perrotta

I was thinking about this earlier today. There's a real possibility that Italy's venture in this tournament could end with Panucci as their leading scorer. :soapit:
