Just back from the game.

Well done to Italy for qualifying, I will now return to my usual position of supporting them.

It was a pretty even game and Scotland matched Italy for most of the game. Scotland are not good enough to give the wrld champions a one goal head start. We only played well for about 20 mins in the 2nd half wround when we scored and managed to move the Italian defence around.

People are clutching at straws over here, accusing Italy and the Ref of cheating (couldn't see it myself).

It was good to get to see the Italian players first hand, Gattuso was the only one I'd seen before and that was back in his Rangers days.

This game just confirmed to me how little I care about Scotland. I wasn't nervous before the game and I was totally nonplussed at losing the late goal.

yes i agree Zanetti has been in surprisingly great form this season..but like they say..form is temporary class is permanent..in no way does he deserve to play ahead of any of the italian mids in the meantime imo..

Not to mention Donadoni isnt going to sacrifice Italys only creative spark in midfield for a holding midfielder.
yes, and zanetti is on form, so he should be given a chance. he hasn't had a proper chance in ages and I suspect he would love to pull on the Italian jersey.

he also doesn't have to replace pirlo, im not sure why you think he has to. ambrosini will be the one to be replaced.

Kappa jersey stil d best IMO for the azurri...Kudos to Kappa..
But Italia didn;t win anything under Kappa...came close in euro2000...
and they won wc under Puma..also Puma 1st WC..
if Italia keeps on winning, i welcome Puma! Haha..
Forza Italia...
althought they could have make the matter way easier by beating Lithuatnia and perhaps draw with France away.
Now we have qualify, pls get rid of Don the bluffing man...if Italia was in another group, perhaps italia is gone already...get rid of him now!!
and I am impressed w Di Natale..as much as I like Del Piero, I mentioned many times that DP should go...it's about time for him to leave the NT.Under Don or Capello he won't stand a chance.
By I really want Inzaghi to be placed in the current squad. He is an assasin. Even as a sub. We don;t have an opportunity killer. He's d man for the job. Fabio Quagrelia( I always don;t know his spelling name) is just a one hit wonder. LOL. but i am happy juve players do well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Forza Juve players!

in the first half, we played like CHAMPIONS

in the second half we played very poorly for the most part, in a style of catenaccio reminiscent of the CRAPatoni era....did we expect to hold on to a 1 goal lead for the entire half ??

The linesman screwed us big time...the score should have been 2-0, but it wasnt....and we werent helping ourselves by sitting back, and letting them attack.

Thank God we pulled it off in the end....but I'm not convinced by DONEadoni, and he should be replaced so we have a chance of winning at the Euro's

Now that I have finished basking in the WE ARE GOING TO EUROS!!! glory. This game was amazing first half. We actually looked like we deserved to be there with Toto's goal being disallowed and the great pass to Toni to get our first goal. It was amazing.
Second half total mess, I almost killed Doni for subbing Chiellini in. WE DO NOT NEED TO PLAY FOR AN F***ING DRAW! Doni knows absolutely nothing and should not be our coach. He didn't do the right subs or the right starting line up in my opinion. We have only gotten here by luck. Everyone is saying that now that Doni is going to be our coach for the Euros because he did "so well" is nuts! We need a new coach ASAP if we want to win a thing.

PS to all you crazies who think our jersey is nice you are BLIND! Did you see Buffon GREEN?? GREEN? No that is hideous. Our jerseys were pure mess! Plus they are too resistant to the rain ;) So I would say our worst jerseys ever. Last time I checked the 80's style was not in.

yeah buffon's jersey was ugly but that white kit is hot.

when chiellini was subbed in, i thought it was supposed to be a defensive sub, but then chiellini was playing as a forward, which was confusing. why didn't he put in a real forward? anybody thinks they could attempt to explain donadoni's complex decisions?

Well here's my explanation. Iaquinta came on for di natale who was playing on the left, naturally iaquinta doesn't play on the left so when he brought on chiellni it meant iaquinta could switch over to his natural side while chiellni would play on the left. The scots were putting on a lot of pressure so maybe donadoni thought if he had a defensive minded player further up the field than maybe they could stop any attacks before they start. Which is exactly what happened. Chiellni played well further up the field and put a lot of pressure on the scots before they could build up there attack. So while it was confusing, it magically worked out for donadoni.

1. toni
2. Di natale
3. Iaquinta
4. Quag's
5. gilla

As of right now that's the pecking order. I think inzaghi will get called up just because he scores in big games. As for DP, unless he steps up he doesn't deserve to get a call up. You can't call him up just because his name is del piero.
