Sadly,he is right, unless the Scots screw it up real bad,Ital is out.
I still have some hope that Ukraine could surprise Scotland on Saturday coz I dont see this Italy team beating Scotland at home.

Huh? Its in Italys hands, & no offence to any Scots on here, but its the reigning champions of the world needing results to qualify against them, Georgia & Faroe so I really dont see how "per sempre", the Scottish fans or Franck fucking Ribery can say otherwise. Its Scotland & France battling for one spot IMO, so maybe Tony Montana should worry more about his next game, not ours.

I think it will be france and italy moving on to the euros this summer and scotland left to remember a memorable yet all together unsuccesful qualifying campaign. When italy meets scotland they will have more availible players then they do now and that will be a huge boost to our injury threatened squad so remember it will be a better italy and a more match fit italy that faces scotland. also there is ukraine. Ukraine are a good side and will be very upset that they arent going to the euro's and i think they will give scotland hell. They will want to go out on a good note and if they beat the scots then we only need to draw them and beat georgia and faroe islands. another reason i think italy will go through is that they are italy. italy has a habbit of just scrapping by in international football they always look weak yet in the end they always just make it through and i think they will here to.

Ribery: Italy won’t qualify Tuesday 9 October, 2007

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

France midfielder Franck Ribery has reignited tensions between Les Bleus and Italy by declaring that the Azzurri won’t qualify for Euro 2008.

Scotland are in pole position in Group B after a sensational triumph in France with Italy holding second place by a point.

While Ribery’s side only have to face the Faroe Islands, Lithuania and Ukraine, Roberto Donadoni’s Italy have still to travel to Scotland on November 17.

“Even now I’m not scared because I’m quite sure that it will be ourselves and Scotland who qualify from Group B in November,” Ribery told The Daily Record.

“Losing to Scotland was like a massive sucker punch to me. It is hard to digest and even harder to accept.

“But as far as I am concerned unless the Scots totally screw it up for themselves then Italy are going out and we will go to the Euro with them.”

Ribery’s comments are likely to be met with a lukewarm reception from the Italian camp, which didn’t respond to taunts from French players and Coach Raymond Domenech in September.

Why oh why do the French players & coaches want to talk about Italy so much? If I were Ribery the 1st thing I'd do (after fixing my face obv!) would be ring Domenech & ask how the fvck he can leave Trezeguet at home for such vital games, not wondering if Italy will qualify.
I wondered why Ribery is so ugly...having a long scar on the side of his face, and only being able to grow one sideburn (which looks ridiculous), and now I understand why.....

someone sliced his face with a switchblade because he has a big mouth !!

    it all make sense now

no offense taken adam, trust me scotland have this mentality of glorious failure. if italy have a must-win match then i am positive they will click. we will revert to type, try and defend for 89 minutes but will blow it.

still, would be nice if france blew it because they did not have an adequate forward, henry is struggling right now, anelka neeeds to be in the right frame of mind.

Donadoni Hints At Del Piero Age Factor

Italy Coach Roberto Donadoni has explained his reasons for leaving Alessandro Del Piero out of his squad to face Georgia and South Africa and has hinted that the years may be catching up with him.

The Golden Boy has had a disappointing start to the Serie A season and has scored just once in his club’s first seven games. On Sunday he was dropped from the starting line-up and replaced by Vincenzo Iaquinta.

“It was difficult to leave anyone at home, not just Del Piero,” Donadoni told the press.

“At 33, he will find it harder to recover than at 27, but he has shown he is in condition.“My choices are never personal and every one of my 20 players are treated equally.

“I have spoken to Inzaghi and Del Piero and told them that I make my choices on a single-game basis and select the men for each job.

“Players need to think of themselves as important, but time passes for everyone. I know because I thought I was at the top when I wasn’t.”

Question marks will certainly now be raised whether we have seen Del Piero play in an Italy shirt for the last time.

you think that is sad...last time i was watching who wants to be a millionaire on mediaset, and the question for 16000 euros was, in 1999 Inter beat Lecce 6-0, what amazing occurance happened on that day?

    a) all 6 scorers where Italian
    b) All 6 where defenders
    c) All 6 where foreigners
    d) all 6 were debutants.

    Correct answer: a

nah i'm just kidding, the right answer is c. Inter should be transferred to Argentina.

Any particular reason for this ?
If Scotland qualifies, we will probably rent a big house with some Scottish friends in Switzerland and attend the Euro. If France qualifies I will be able to get tickets. Fact of the matter is I don't support any national team other than my home country but I do cheer for some teams from time to time for particular reasons.

    Lol,
I asked you because i also support only my country and in this case i also want SCO and FRA to qualify for personal reasons (or any other apart from Italy). I am not an Italy fan or Italy hater. Sometimes i want them to win sometimes not, but in this case it will be very profitable if they don't :p
Even more profitable if Russia and Poland don't qualify from their groups.

Ribery can pay to have his face changed though, you can't.
