Nick, I respect you as an American and sometimes as an intelligent poster, but I still am not in favor of you becoming a mod. I have stated my reasoning in previous posts behind me not supporting you. I think your demeanor on the forums is far from kind and caring, and you might actually keep members away instead of pulling them in. No offense, but you just do not seem like a good choice buddy.

My book "American Civlisation" (one of my study subjects) reads that baseball is considered national sport only because it's easily accessible to everyone on amateur level whereas football is more commercialised. In terms of audiences and people taking interest though, American football is the #1 sport in the US.
