Aimar is injury phrone, in Serie A he won't spend half of the time on the bench injured but he'll spend it all probably.
If he was injured in Spain... imagine in our rought Italian football

The minimum requirement in midfield is to get Almiron.

Whilst I am realistic enough to lower my expectations for what Juventus can achieve back in Serie A for the 07/08 season, my minimum demand is for a top 4 finish to guarantee a Champions League place for the 08/09 season. No doubt the board will also see this too, especially from a financial perspective.

The market moves must be wrapped up soon: I don't want other clubs stealing our transfer targets at the elevnth hour.

Top four should be the minimum. I would like to think we could mount some sort of challenge for the Scudetto even if it may be unrealistic to win it first season back in A.

This depends on how ambitious the club are in the transfer market. With Hunter, Gerrard, Frings and a world class CB (if all our curent stars stay) I would think the title is winnable but I don't expect Gerrard to come and Almiron wouldn't be good enough for more than a top 4 spot.

Empoli's Cagni Confirms Almiron's Sale

The Brazilian midfielder has been in the sights of various big Italian and European teams, but his most likely destination is Juventus.

Gigi Cagni and his Empoli side qualified for the Uefa Cup after an excellent season in which the Tuscan side are currently in 7th place which guarantees access to Europe for next year.

For this reason, the Tuscan club promised its coach that he will be able to hold on to all of his players who helped him achieve this target bar one: Almiron.

"I renew the contract because the club promised me they would only sell Almiron," confirmed the Empoli coach. “The remainder of the group remains along with some new signings.

"I also signed because the club spoke clearly: we shall play in the Uefa Cup with the players I will have available, our objective remains always the same, and that is to survive in Serie A."

With the confirmation of Almiron’s departure, the only question is what his destination will be. However, according to reports from Italy, Juventus are the ones tipped to have signed the Brazilian midfielder, even though it has not yet been confirmed by either side.

Loaning them Paro in that case wouldn't be too bad. If we get both Mavuba and Almiron, central midfield positions are getting filled up(Zanetti, Marchisio, Paro, Mavuba, Almiron).
