Almiron eyeing Juve switch

Empoli midfielder Sergio Almiron has opened the doors on a possible move to Juventus.

The 26-year-old Argentinian has impressed for the Tuscans this season, and is angling for a move to Turin, after seemingly having turned down the chance to join Serie A leaders Internazionale.

“I am coming to Turin, my father is sending me there,” he said. “Soon I will be [playing] for a big club, like I promised, but I have rejected Inter.”

Italian media reports suggest Juventus could offer fringe players Paolo de Ceglie, Matteo Paro and Rey Volpato plus 3.5 million euros in exchange for Almiron.

i think he may be a good starter but we should not assume he wil be fantastic and not put all or eggs in one basket. we will probably get frings too but say if one of them does not integrate what will we do?

should we get 3 mids ? or hope our youth teams and cureent mids preform well next season?

Is it for sure Gianni is leaving this season?

I think a central midfield of say, Zanetti, Frings, Almiron and Paro/Marchisio/Tacchinardi/Nocerino should suffice since we're not in the CL. Then we have a bunch of Primavera players who can fill in, and both Nedved and Camoranesi can do a job there.
