According to sports.it Juventus are preparing one final onslaught for Oddo.

The deal would be around 5 million euro + one(or maybe even 2) of the following players:
Chiellini Iuliano, Kapo, Olivera and Zalayeta.

I don't know if it one of those would go be sold or go out on loan.

Yup,that's the deal,we seemed to close on him...finally.

I'd give Iuliano_Oliveira also possible.

I'd rather get Janku than Oddo, he's more versatile both in terms of positions and style. Defensive, offensive no problem. defender or further up on the wing, no problem. Janku is a better passer and matches Oddo's crosses. Personally I don't see any reason to get Oddo over Janku if the pricetag is the same. A less good Zambro is still quite fine.

Well, maybe Jankulovski would play as a left back and Oddo as a right back, which would allow Zambrotta to play as a right wing.

that would be ideal.

Camoranesi is useless.

That doesn't look bad IceBlu (although we'd probably win all of our games 6-4 with that formation :D), but is Mutu any good at playing in that position? If not, I guess we could always put Nedved at LM, and have Miccoli playing behind Mutu and Trezeguet :lick:

I dont think so, too little cover in midfield. IMO, I dont think we'll play with two real wingers, it's either going to be a left or a right one.

Something like this maybe:

------------Mutu Trezeguet--------------

----------------Nedved--------------

------------Blasi Emerson Zambrotta

Jankulovski Thuram Legrottaglie Oddo

--------------Buffon-----------------

i don't know.

del piero can't be benched, mutu came to juve precisely because he wanted to avoid being sidelined and we can't operate with only dp and mutu.trez obviously figures in capello's plans too.

the only way is to fit them all into the lineup.

Hell, I can do that too

Maybe Neddy could operate in a deeper role, kinda like Rosicky did in EURO 2004. Pair him up with Emerson in midfield. It would add pace and creativity to it. He's got good workrate, tackling passing... or play him on the left wing, and leave only emerson in the middle:

------------Del Piero Trezeguet-----------

----------------Mutu--------------

-----------Nedved Emerson Zambrotta

Jankulovski Thuram Legrottaglie Oddo

--------------Buffon-----------------

------------Del Piero Trezeguet--------------

----------------Mutu--------------

Nedved----- Emerson ------Zambrotta

Jankulovski Thuram Legrottaglie Oddo

--------------Buffon-----------------

I'm not so sure about that. Maybe since Cap's here, we no longer need to operate based on the assumption that Del Piero's a guaranteed starter, which to me is a good thing.

that last one looks pretty good, but only if leggro finds his form.janko and oddo love roaming up the field, hence the need for a strong centre of defence.it could be balanced with two defensive mids but we may not be able to afford it.

Why not? Emerson and Blasi/Tacchi, but that would mean that either Mutu or DP would be on the bench.
yeah, what i meant was we can't have mutu,dp,trez and two def mids.:)

-------------Trezeguet------------

---Del Piero ----Nedved ------ Mutu---

-------------Emerson Blasi-------------

Jankulovski Thuram Leggrotaglie Oddo

---------------Buffon----------------
