Seemingly racist Obama waffles popular at 'Family Values' summit

An exhibitor at the 2008 Value Voters Summit - sponsored by the Family Research Council and counting among its speakers former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has been selling seemingly racist anti-Obama waffles.

The product is pictured below. Summit security would not allow photographs to be taken inside the exhibit hall.

"I asked the 'chef'... if he was at all concerned that this might be viewed as a white man putting a black man into a frying pan," Raw Story reporter Larisa Alexandrovna wrote Saturday. "He laughed and said, 'I hope so.'"

McCain Criticized for Slur
He says he'll keep using term for ex-captors in Vietnam

"I hate the gooks," McCain said yesterday in response to a question from reporters aboard his campaign bus. "I will hate them as long as I live."

Great to see McCain's taking a stand against the gooks. He's abandoned everything else he supposedly stood for in favor of party policy, so at least he's unwavering on this crucial point.

    freedom of speech......

    ....rather freedom of waffles.
But this is the point. With freedom of speech comes consequences. These little images do nothing except continue to pass around the same racist overtures this country has been plagued with since day one. One would think we'd be over with racism problems in the 21st century, but no, not us. The really sad part, however, is the fact that one of the scare tactics implemented in today's politics (claiming Obama is a Muslim) is deemed acceptable by Republicans, and sometimes even works. With the way this country is seemingly going and the rhetoric tossed around by some Republicans, we are eerily looking similar to how the Nazis started fervent hate for the Jews through propaganda. In our case it's the illegal aliens, the foreigners and the Muslims.

Barring the faux virus, the film Children of Men leads insight to what happens in crisis after such fervent hate is produced.

Note: Guys, make sure you watch this and its second part. It really provides insight to how we are not on the right path here.

McCain's supposed patriotism makes each and every one of his flaws null and void.

He could murder 25 African American soccer moms and people would still defend the guy.

Saving 25 children isn't exactly a qualification for President, you know. And it certainly doesn't mean it would make him a good one either.
Yeah I realize this, I was responding to your earlier point about how idiots will blindly like McCain no matter what he does and stating that you will blindly hate him no matter what he does. It has nothing to do with qualifications for being president.

No, I hate McCain because he will make a horrible President as he doesn't know anything about anything and will be another Repub pushover. That's the difference, Charlie.

That was a long time ago when I was bothered by trollers. Now I'm one of them. :pint:

    How you been?
You're harmless man. I think now you just see the light.

I've been great. I miss college life a bit though. The working life and married life is a bit different.

As for the forums, it's good to see some familiar people here.

Anyway, I hope all's well with you too Al Roker.

It's interesting how the Israelis view Obama. He receives much support
both from Jewish liberals and arguably the right-wing AIPAC, but his
middle name bothers Israelis a lot. Also, there are doubts whether he is
really a Muslim apostate. Here is an article which analyzes Obama's
    similarity to early Zionists:
http://samsonblinded.org/blog/obama-against-jewishness.htm What do you think of the parallels?
