Well boys and girls, I believe we have conquered. Back in year 2000, when I told my host I was thinking about starting a forum I was told my site wasn't big enough. Well I started one anyway and 2.5 years down the road, we have surpassed just about every forum site I know of. We officially have 195,000+ posts now, which gives 78,000 posts a year, 214 posts a day on average since we got started. Our daily record so far was made on the day of the SuperCoppa, with 1921 in the space of 24h.
To compare ourselves with other forums, I have the following data on them...
[site (year of foundation) - posts, threads, members]
forum.acmilan-online.com (2002) - 27,929 posts, 1,279 members
worldfootballboard.com/forums (2003) - 40,667 posts, 1,692 threads, 352 members
finalfootball.com (2003) - 62,235 posts, 4,218 threads, 776 members
forum.devilsmania.com (1998) - 72,353 posts, 4,016 threads, 417 members
lazioworld.net (2002) - 105,087 posts, 1,197 members
milanmania.com (1999) - 191,655 posts, 13,133 threads, 2,566 members
juventuz.com (2001) - 195,361 posts, 3,135 threads, 1,124 members
xtratime.com (1999) - 1,573,135 posts, 104,790 threads, 8,409 members
Two forums we will never surpass are xtratime.com (1,500.,000+ posts) and bigsoccer.com (28,000+ members), just to set the record straight.
