Following the win in Donetsk which secured top spot in Group E, the Champions League takes a break until next year. Attention now turns to the domestic competitions. Aside from the last-16 draw on 20 December, the European effort resumes in February. For now the Bianconeri are entirely focused on the league and Coppa Italia, with the latter beginning next week.
As of today it’s all eyes on Sunday afternoon’s trip to Palermo. A match which has long been marked as Antonio Conte’s return to the dug-out. But it’s also crucial in the context of Serie A. Juventus will go to the Stadio Barbera in search of points to secure top spot.
This is why the squad were straight back to work just a few hours after their return from Ukraine. The whole group were in training this afternoon for the usual post-match session: recovery work for those who featured last night, normal training for the rest.
Tomorrow, Friday 7 December, the lads will be back for morning training.
