because he's considered a good keeper by our board who we might use after gigi retires, i guess. we might just sell him 2 years later - since he arrived on a bosman, plusvalenza is guaranteed either way.
i hope we have a better keeper by the time Gigi retires. loaning him out for 2 years and then selling him might be better for the books, i think

Why are we gonna sell him? Who would be our second goalie?
Mirante.

We want to sell cause he wants to play and here we have Buffon.
Plus Serie A as new rules stating that you need 4 home grown players (aka players from our "primavera" = youth) and Mirante is a product of our youth accademy.
So next year we'll have Marchisio,De Ceglie, Mirante and Audero as homegrown players

Agent: ‘Neto could leave Juventus’
By Football Italia staff

Neto’s agent admits the goalkeeper could leave Juventus if they’re looking for someone else to succeed Gigi Buffon.

The Bianconeri’s general manager Giuseppe Marotta admitted this week that a replacement is being sought for the legendary number 1, who will retire after the 2018 World Cup.

“This isn’t what was agreed,” Stefano Castagna warned in an interview with Gazzamercato.

“When Neto chose to come to Turin and join Juve he was given a clearly-defined path of growth. If that’s really what they’re thinking then we’ll find a solution.

“Neto already asked this summer to go out [on loan] and play but the club asked him to stay on as the vice-Buffon.

“He has put himself at the service of the club, but given his objectives with the Brazilian national team too, I think everything is there to consider somewhere for him as soon as January.

“Neto is definitely attached to Juve, because he considers it to be a top club, so if he left he’d do it reluctantly, but at this point we need to sit round a table and clarify everything.

“I mean that for the good of Juve, but also for a professional who is appreciated all over Europe and has his whole career ahead of him.

“Juve can’t play around with the career of such a strong player who is wanted across Europe. The lad is already a number 1, and wants to be so for his entire career.”

His obviously at the wrong club if he ever thought he would be Gigi's heir. Needs to go out loan to prove it or be given more starts. The latter we can afford to do in serie A.
