Update — 2:00PM EDT: English reports confirm the German ones
In case you thought that Falk and Pletti were jumping the shark, now both David Ornstein and Charlie Eccleshere are confirming what we already knew — that Bayern Munich and Harry Kane have already sorted personal terms. Anyone familiar with how this club operates knew that already. Bayern Munich never bid before securing personal terms with a player first.
Now, the question is ... how much will it take for Daniel Levy to budge?
Update — 10:00AM EDT: Harry Kane has a deal in place with Bayern Munich
According to Chrisitan Falk of Bild, Bayern Munich and Kane have agreed personal terms. The deal was negotiated by the striker’s family. Convincing the player to move is always the most critical step in any transfer and it seems like Bayern have done the impossible. An EPL star and England international agreeing to move to Germany in the prime of their career is certainly a big deal for the league — IF this deal can be pulled off.
Meanwhile, per Kerry Hau of Sport1 (via
@iMiaSanMia), Bayern are still keeping the Osimhen move open in the background as an alternative to Kane.
Update — 9:00AM EDT: Kane considering Bayern move
According to Daily Mail reporter Sami Mokbel, Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane is considering a move to Bayern Munich. Twitter account
@iMiaSanMia captured Mokbel’s news:
Harry Kane is open to joining Bayern Munich this summer. The Bundesliga side are confident that the England captain would accept a move to Bavaria this summer. It now remains to be seen whether Bayern return with an improved offer to further test Spurs’ resolve.
It has been widely held view that Kane prefers to stay in England, but his only realistic English suitor - Manchester United - are looking at alternatives amid concerns over his price and the prospect of negotiating with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
Kane would now give consideration to a move to Bayern, where the striker knows he would virtually guaranteed of challenging for trophies. Bayern would unlikely have put Kane at the top of their plans without some form of encouragement that he would join them.
If true, big things could be happening (Premier League scoring record be damned), but there is a long way to go and Tottenham Hotspur might not be willing to part ways with a club legend just yet.
Stay tuned!

Update — 7:10AM EDT: Spurs reject Bayern bid
Spurs journos are holding the line, saying that the club will reject any such bid made by Bayern. We’ve got a saga on our hands, folks.
But what WILL Spurs ask for? How far will Bayern Munich go?
“Should they receive one.” Looks like someone’s info is a little bit outdated.
Forget Osimhen, forget Kolo Muani.
Bayern Munich are aiming for the sky, and that’s gonna come with a sky high price tag. According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Bayern Munich have submitted an official bid of €70m + add-ons for
Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane. The Bundesliga champions, per recent reports, see him as their number one striker target for this summer.
Given that this is David Ornstein we’re talking about, this report can basically be taken as official fact. His sources in England, especially among London clubs, are rock solid. Therefore, the Bayern bosses must think Kane is willing to come to the Bundesliga if they’ve made a bid like this. It’s almost certainly going to fall short of Daniel Levy’s desired price, but that’s what negotiations are for.
What this means is that Bayern are finally moving on the striker issue. After weeks of nothing but rumor, we have our first news of the club making a concrete move — and what a move it is! Enticing Harry Kane, the English captain and a top EPL striker, to the Bundesliga will take no mean feat.
The club is not messing around this summer. However, if the bidding for Kane has started, then you can be sure that other clubs across Europe will take notice.
Real Madrid,
Manchester United, and all the rest have been put on alert.
Now, can the Bavarians pull this off? Is this actually gonna happen, for real? Or, like Declan Rice, will this end up being another wild goose chase? We’ll have to wait and find out. Exciting times.
